Well on a serious note the club has said there will be one Marquee signing a year , Last year was Blair this year the only one i can think of is Tony Williams now that Cronk is signed . Maybe it's Civoniceva Manager… Sheens trying to talk him out of retirement hahahah!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the marquee signing isn't playing in the NRL at the moment… Maybe there is no marquee signing. I guess time will reveal all.

Tiger99 Anymore clues as to who?.

I gather all he knows is that he saw Player Manager X having a top level meeting at Camp Concord. More than that I'm guessing he is unwilling or unable to say…

Maybe Anasta is the marquee signing 😕

would you call Anasta a marquee signing not really, already passed his peak. Marquee signing for me are players at their peak IMO.

Agreed but I guess the club can argue he is a marquee signing even if you disagree. He's a rep player after all. Harry Kewell is certainly past his peak too.

Lol i was being sarcastic. I'm not sure why we haven't made a play for T-Rex, i'm sure we'd have the money to make him an appealing offer. And besides it would be nice to get one back on Manly by pilfering one of their players for a change

Lol….. well lets say; ball park figures we have say $900,000 in our cap at the end of the year being that we don't resign Utai being on $120,000 , Ellis released being on $380,00 and Tuquiri on $400,000 with $100,000 coming by way of 3rd party payments, i would be struggling to be paying Tuquiri more than $180,000 per year his definetley not worth the money his on. So really we have $800,000 on our cap because of the $100,000 on 3rd party payments for Tuquiri . Say were paying Anasta $200,000 per year , id be surprised if where paying more than that, it leaves us with $600,000 . Since we have Heigno and Fulton off contract at the end of next year , i would only resign one of them as they play the same role for the side. I would make a serious play for T-Rex offering him 1st year $450,000 then 2nd year $550,000 , 3rd year $600,000 make back end deals and the $150,000 left on our cap top up Toyota cup players that have the potential to be something in 1st grade . With the new Broadcasting rights expect the cap to go up which means the players will want a larger chunck of the pie . Thoughts guys estimate only on those figures....

i wouldn't be so sure that we hadn't made a play at T-Rex GNR…....

a manly sponsor told me 2 months ago that he was in talks with the tigers, but then last month said he was all but signed at the dogs and things fell through at WT.

If they're any good 150k won't go far. Someone like Melbourne wouldn't think twice about paying that sort of money for someone they picked as a first grader.

T-Rex is quickly becoming one of the most overrated players.

Yeah might be , but this year is starting to play big minutes before he got suspended of course , always attracts 3 or 4 defenders and with the speed the Tigers play there football will create alot of holes in opposition defence , well obviously Sheensy rates him as he took him on tour at the end of last year. I can still picture T-Rex bumbing of Farrah in round 2 this year on his way to a try like he wasn't even there. I'd have him. You will never replace Ellis….
