Who should Madge's assistant coaches be for 2022?

How many Sharks players who were involved in the peptides saga left the club or publicly voiced their concern?

I don’t remember too much fuss, then or now, from anyone involved at the Sharks when Flanagan is toted for a new coaching role.

The other guy heavily involved and suspended at the time is now employed at the Panthers and no-one seems too upset.

Please bring in Flanagan. Yes he has been a villain in the past but he knows a footballer, is a great man manager and can slide into the top job without the fuss the WTs' attracts.

You don't risk the health of our players to win football games.

That's your opinion but it is not shared by me nor others. If he does come you have a decision to make.

So you are happy to put our players health at risk to win footy games, good to know.

The NRL are satisfied he has been punished, served that punishment and is again available to participate. End of matter.

But as you said, you are happy to risk players health to win footy games.

Flanagan is available for consideration to be assistant or coach according to the NRL. His punishment has been served.

That wasn't what you said though. I stated that you don't put players health at risk to win footy games, you disagreed.

He is available for consideration, doesn't make it right to appoint him.

You can write to the NRL detailing your concerns. I have no evidence this will ever happen again. What I do know is that he has been punished and served that punishment. Do you expect him to be punished more than once for what he allegedly did?

Allegedly did? He was suspended for his behaviour, no need to use the word allegedly unless trying to downplay it. Why wouldn't he do it again? He has shown he believes he is above the consequences of his behaviour before, he has shown no evidence he wouldn't go straight back to this behaviour. Just because someone has been punished does not mean that there are no more consequences for their behaviour. We should not have him anywhere near the club.

If you have evidence that he has or is intending to do it again, report it to the NRL.

You have made your opinion known. I am willing to give him the chance.

If you want individuals to be punished twice for the same breach, join the ADF.

You have made your opinion known as well, why wouldn't I counter when you push for Flanno? I don't need evidence, he refused to follow consequences in the past, the risk just isn't worth it.

Coutts-Trotter was gaoled for his crime and will now be head of the NSW Premier's Dept. A great story of redemption.

I am quite happy to give Flanagan the chance. If he comes then as I have stated once or twice, you have a decision to make.

Why would I have a decision to make? I am not happy to give Flanagan responsibility over young people.

Well, if the club is happy to appoint him in some capacity and you feel strongly about it, clearly you have a decision to make.

What decision?

To not support the WTs if you feel so strongly about him if he is appointed by WTs in a capacity.

My support is stronger than any individual, is your's dependent on who we employ?

So we are the same mate, I don't want Flanagan anywhere near our club, that doesn't mean I would remove my support. I grew up in a country area as well and have supported the club since I was 4 years old, Flanagan won't remove that support but I will still be disappointed and that is allowed surely?

Importantly, if you are aware this is going to happen again write now to the NRL.

He has served his time

Still not worth the risk

What risk ?

The risk that he will decide winning his more important that the health of the players in his care.

I very much doubt that would happen again ..
stop being a naysayer !
At least if Madge gets shafted Flanno can just move into the head coaches role with no fuss .

Flanagan has never shown he is willing to abide by the rules or the consequences when he breeches those rules. I have no reason to believe he wouldn't do the same again.

Any drug program would need agreement from sheens and Maguire. There is zero risk.

I have said in the past I would be ok with him as an assistant where he has little authority, but this isn't about him being an assistant.

He wants to come here as a stepping stone to our top job.

Doesn't every assistant think like that if worst came to worst

On the peptides situation discussed ...I wonder what the Mannah family thought about this ....

Can't believe that some people that do not want Payten near the place are happy to promote Robbie to an assistant coach.

Payten is a perfect "Assistant" coach.
He will focus on Forwards and team structure. I don't know why but he could pinpoint this in the Cowboys.
However he wants to be head coach, NO.
While he had some success at the Warriors. He is not ready and still has weaknesses. IMHO Madge is better.

A stepping stone to the Parra job more likely…

I have Zero problem with this. Madge must know that if he does not make the top8 in 2022 he is GONE.
As long as Flanagan does not white-ant Madge. Let him be the assistant then head coach in 2023
