Who will our marque player be for 2011?

Heard from someone that we were looking to sign cooper cronk but i dont know how valid the statement really is
any ideas or evidence to back it up from anyone?

You misheard brother.
We are in the market for Johny Cronk, Cooper's older brother.
Hot on the heels of the second comings of Moodie and Fitzhenry

*YAWN!* This is getting old

I think the no-nonsense forwards we have seen to date from the English Super League is starting point.

A player like Andy Lynch will lead this forward pack into a new year…

While he is getting old in the tooth, we will get 2 years at of him to lead our young brigade!!!

We have lacked a good old fashion frontower since day one, Skando was good, but we need a Petro style of frontrower come forward leader SO BADLY. Now where this player is going to come from, not so sure but we need one

I think list its a bit old

Didn't Sheens become assistant coach of the Russians. They have some big guys. If the Tigers picked up someone young enough and trained in Toyota Cup for a while, then it could be a big bonus. It just sounds like a good idea. I just think with 140m people, there should be some which could carve up the NRL.

Saying that though, I hope Sheens is a goner for 2011.

But on marque, I would go prop for the go forward.

Would love to try and poach young Timmy Mannah from the Eels he has been killing it and is a future aus rep

Where are we getting the cap space from?? If we do get a prop it would have to be on the cheap side maybe a Carl Webb or Kafusi all have rep experience but have been out of form so wouldnt comand much

I don't think we need anyone in particular if there continues to be natural improvement. A prop who makes big meters would be a handy addition. Ensuring we don't lose the likes of Fifita, Dwyer, Lawrence and Lio is as if not more significant than any possible buys.

from the list and Ink has provided, :
Josh Perry , if still available, would be good for wests-tigers.
no nonsense style of player, goes straight and hard.

Yeah, Josh Perry is fat and lazy and had NO impact in Origin!

If I could choose anyone I would go for Tim Grant from the Panthers. He is young, big, athletic and can play.

Mind you I am sure that Penrif have him all sewn up!

Who do we need? Can name a few players to be honest. but to accommodate that marqee? The bigger question I have is who we gonna lose?? Could be 2 or 3 great young players. we need to understand and thick about what we wish for. Yes Sheens promised…which is easy to do...and to deliver...but at what cost?...could be swallow that? Thick about about we can't have 37 players in our top 25\. We will have no choice but to move players on...I mean players that have a good following at Wests Tigers. Want to win competitions? May have to lose some players we have grown to love. We can't have the cake and eat it.

Unless the player is a world beater we really dont need to much, we have a host of good players in the lowers. I thought the front row needed strengthening but I think we are little better off than I first thought, Fifta,Woods and Davidson plus the Likes of Big Keff and Gibbs we are in pretty good shape
