Who will our marque player be for 2011?

just resign Murdoch & Fafita on good contracts…they will be the props in 3 years....

I agree with keeping these two. I think Murdoch will remain a back rower. We need to sign Lawrence to a long term contract as soon as possible.

The way forward was delivered in the later part of this season. Put your elite players on 3rd party deals, gain as many exemptions as you can to attract more elite players!!!

This is the Key and the way the Broncos do it legally…

The Broncos have shown how it is done. It is up to our management to best use 3rd party deals to make sure we have one of the elite squads in the NRL. We have some real talent coming through the ranks and with a few key additions we could be a force for the next 5-7 years.

Third party deals in a one team town are a lot easier to come by than for a team in Sydney. Its not so easy to convince the coperate sector to part with 200g a year even with such a strong brand name like the tigers.

Increased competition in Syd means our club as to work harder. Its leagal so letschange our sponsorship model if we have to.

I'm Sure Mr Humphries is already on it though

They already do….no need to change anything.....Just get smarter

34 players used this year.....wow.. 😱pen_mouth:

34? that is a big strain on our cap… Sheens must of been playing Fish towards the end of the year to keep us legal.

It's called Loyalty brother….Our Marquee players take less to play under Sheens....

Something clubs like the Broncos, ScumDogs and Manly no nothing about...

As for the strain....that's why we have Humphreys...He is very smart..

Son of big Kev was the best signing we have made in years. Where most clubs are really struggling to stay afloat, Stephen H has us in a very sound position with very steady growth in all of our revenue streams. Most clubs would die to be in our position. Theirs still a long way to go but for two clubs that were financial disasters that were pitched together we have done really well in a short period of time. The old story its about have quality people in the key positions

Loyalty… Your killin me... "dad, why didn't you get a boat for playing football? Son, I chose to play for Tim Sheens!"

SIGN NO ONE.. we dont need anyone.. and there isnt one player in the team i would want to swap for another player for another team.. time all our players come back from injury we are going to have one hell of a team and we are going to have some dissapointed 2010 first graders who wont get much game time

Agree 100% Troy. With the return of Tuiaki and Moltzen, hopefully McKinnon gets over his hamstring problems, plus the continued development of Fifita, Dwyer, Lui, Murdoch, Woods…the Tigers future is in good hands.

I wonder if Gibbs new house in the inner sanctum is a Meriton or Masterton home…

Payne..We have Robbie so I can't see where he would fit
Tandy...didn't we try that once
Blair...I dont think he likes Benji so nup...

Marquee Players??? Don't we have Marshall, Farah, Tuqiri, Heighno - and a few in the pipeline. Don't need any more.

Good call Here - add in Gareth Ellis and Chris Lawrence.

Consolidation is the call for 2010/11 off season. Lock up the players we really want. Let a few go and start preparing to bolster the team stocks in the following year.
