Why don’t our forwards go forward?

Need to add at least 1 preferably two high quality props
Id Keep Musgrove, Aloiai, Twal. Mikaele, McIntyre
Everyone else is depth category and we just have to many

Not to add to the halves bashing, but if im a forward in a busted team. You bust your ass to get up the field and your half does a crap bomb, or kicks it dead time and time again.
Eventually your output is going to drop.. and im not just talking about one game.

absolutely, we need forwards that can get us to the opposition 30 consistently, and not depend on Nofoaluma's heroics!

Zane Musgrove back next week

Looking forward to it. Should hopefully provide some impact off the bench.

We really missed Packer’s decoy runs tonight

EXACTLY. They could have created a lot of space just out from that 10m channel.

Although he may be a little to tall for brooks to pass to?

we did only have 28% of the ball tonight so of course the stats are going be down for the forwards. Not saying they were great but a wierd game to assess the stats

It was 32% possession on NRL.com stats but yes, exactly. If we'd had 68% possession like Manly then Aloiai's 96m may have been 204 metres...

of course, one and only 'King of decoy runs'!:grinning:

I keep saying stats are meaningless unless you understand the context. Some think stats are an absolute, they are not.

Let’s face it our forwards don’t hit the line they stroll up to the line , the same way as they move up in defence , they stroll up .

Fox Sports stats have us on 48% possession for the match.
44% first half
49% second half.
A big difference.

Forget the stats, watching the game you can see our forwards were struggling from the start. Many of our forwards are depth forwards and over hyped by us fans, I bought into the hype of a few myself. I like Aloai, McIntyre 👍 Keepers.

We need better than Garner and Huth for sure. Lucy was 2/10 but he has had a good year so maybe off game.

I can well and truly forgive Lucy for last night he has been one of our consistently best forwards all year.He is young and has an upside and will only improve imo.

Aloiai says HI:blush:

I thought Twal was slightly better last night - bent the line a bit more. He does need to develop an offload However which will make him more dangerous.

Aloiai is a top prop. Twal/Eisenhuth are okay workers. ET makes his tackles. Mikaele makes a great run or two per game but that is basically not acceptable. McIntrye is doing pretty good. He has good defense and he isn't making mistakes with the ball. Musgrove may be okay but he has been injured basically all season.

I hope Stefano comes good for us or we get Tamou for peanuts and he is decent. Maybe Blore is a lock and plays around the middle.

We need improvements in our pack.

Totally agree! He seems to get in great spots for an offload. Surely that will be looked at from our staff. He was a bit better.

The offloads were killing us last night. We should develop our pack to do the same. Really liking what I am seeing from McIntyre as well. Different type of player from the others - adds some venom in defence and will only get better.
