Why Maguire is the man the Wests Tigers need

Madge will change our culture OR be gone in a year IMO.

Bashing up a dressing room at Manly would have fired up the Burgess brothers, and all those things Madge did would get senior / tough vets ready to win.

Our blokes though? Brooks, MBye? Our pack? Most probably giggled.

Madge's style suits tough, winning, vets.

Let's hope we either get some or that some of ours actually toughen up...

That’s such BS, to assume that we (you) understand the heart of the issue at Souths, that the players were right and the coach was not, or that the coach was specifically too hard and they gave up.

I seem to recall that one of our colleagues who is related to a current Souths player who played under Madge, said that stories that Madge lost the dressing room were garbage. In fact, Madge was well liked by the players.

If my memory serves, his Souths relative said that Seibold was white-anting Madge and that it was Seibold who was disliked by the players, not Madge.

Have been told the same - but people will always form their own opinions.

It's also ultimately irrelevant. There's no point anyone spending time worrying about whether or not the players "like" the coach, because he is the coach and it's the results that matter.

If Madge gets the results, I really don't care who likes him or not. And if he doesn't get the results, all the friendly players in the world won't save him.

Still goes back to being realistic about the talent the coach has to work with.
Fans are not known for being objective about anything when they are losing so happy to trust that Maguire who has been there and done that may be in a position to make more informed decisions than most about the direction we need to go in, and who that may or may not include.

I like the Russian Roulette idea. For a few blokes you'd make sure the pistol was fully loaded......free up some $$$$.

An AK47 would probably be more succesful just in case their performance with a pistol matched their performance on the field(sarcasm)
