Why the Farah hate campaign?

Young plays for St George, therefore he must be rep standard.

hence the push for Trent Merrin…dragons players have been getting pushed for 10 yrs its a joke...i guarentee if Galloway n Heighington played for the dragons they'd b Blues players every yr...so to would Farah...if Farah was a dragon ud never hear a word about Ennis he'd b a walk up start every yr without fail...he'd also have the media in his corner considering the dragons r the media's love child

for me this subject has gotten to the :brick: point…if its gotten to the point where Farah has got to battle against guyz like Hinchcliffe n De Gois then its time to give up in my book...maybe the tigers kept the wrong hooker a few seasons back...funny reading this morning the topic of who the NSW captain will be n there was a strong push for Gasnier (a dragon what a shock) over Paul Gallan...n the theory was that Stuart didn't want Gallan's aggression side tracked by the captaincy...coz its all about aggression isn't it thats sure to get the job done like it has for the last 5 yrs :crazy...if i were Farah n i was selected id tell em to shove it...im sure as long as they keep selecting dragons they'll b just fine coz we all know the media n the selectors r like this :master: when it comes to the dragons

I still think Stuart will pick Farah, if Pierce is picked at halfback. They have a good combination. I think Young will be on the bench as an option for hooker, but more as a backrower.

It was clear from watching the City-Country match that Farah was playing just how Stuart wanted. Nothing flash, just good service out of dummy half, the occasional run, and most importantly he was heavily involved in all City's attacks. He got players' player and Fittler praised him after the match, as did Stuart.

I also think Farah has a tendency to overplay his hand, but he showed no signs of this on Friday. This is what will get him picked.

we are going to end up doing the same thing we have done for 4 years, we will pick, Young, Bird, Beau Scott, Gallen, Ennis all these players built for origin, we will give away heaps of penalties, play really tough, yet skill less footy and get beat again

i've always believed it is more his defensive issues. not so much missed tackles and tackle count, which he performs quite strongly on a statistical perspective but more when he is isolated one-on-one he gets pushed back quite a bit and then QLD would get a very quick play-the-ball.

i don't see this as an issue however as it is nowadays quite rare (kennedy at the roosters being the only time that comes to mind and that was because he was playing quite injured) and lacked support from his outside men.

if they want to out-score QLD they need Robbie. if they want someone who gives away crucial penalties and then runs away from a fight (the media calls this 'tough') then they will pick Ennis.

Which is better, Robbie "being pushed back in one-on-one tackles" or Ennis missing heaps of tackles and getting high tackle counts by being third player in and flopping?

The funny part about that is , ennis doesnt even generally get high tackle counts. he usually misses about 5 or more and makes about 25 or less, even being the third man in. pretty bloody average for a first grade ..sorry.. "origin" hooker.

agree! ennis is a classic 3rd man in. they must think he hits harder in a tackle but easy to do when the guy is already wrapped up…

the thing that kills me is why he is 'tough' he sledges then runs from fights. he ran from crocker, got beated up by sandow. this 'toughness' is a myth. ennis is a grub and nothing more

Hope so, he deserves another shot.

The only way the Blues are going to beat the Maroons is outscoring them….since trying to defend against them has not worked the last 5 years.

He's INJURED. Has everyone forgotten this? If you are playing with a substantial injury, you don't get picked in a side where you're position can be covered by Young or Ennis.

Besides, we're playing the Warriors and Panthers during the Origin period, both teams with skillful backlines, the Warriors are the "under the radar" team this year and the Panthers lift when they play us every time. Games we NEED Farah for.

NSW has halves issues, whether Farah plays hooker or not will hardly decide the match

I think he will get picked however his problem is not NSW halves, the selectors or anything outside of his control. Robbie's problem is that he can lose NSW the game as well as win it. The selectors will be worried about this - he is a risk.
