With Hayne gone is Teddy a chance for Origin?

Daley has already singled out Moylan

Same way he used to single out Mitchell will be the 1/2 back before a single ball had been kicked for the season. Poor tactic in my view. All positions you would have thought would have been open after 7 years losing.

Moylan is one hell of a fullback - the complete package I don't mind if Daley has singled him out already.

Teddy wasn't even named in the emerging Blues Squad, that's how far down he has slipped in calculations, unfortunately. He has a long road ahead to, firstly, just stay on the field and play out a season and then, secondly, to play well enough to impress the rep selectors. Maybe his omission from the young Blues Squad will give him the motivation to fire next season, like we all know he can.

If Dugan has a great start to the year at Fullback for the Dragons then he will get the jersey. Fullback is such an important position, I doubt they will risk throwing a rookie in there if Dugan is available.

At this current time, Moylan would also be ahead of Tedesco. Teddy's aim should be getting through an entire season without major injuries before gunning for a NSW spot.

Teddy may not get the chance this year until he is fully fit and can produce great football all season….after that, he will be a force to reckon with especially with a good season under his belt and plenty of confidence to bounce back into form...

Moylan certainly looks like Daleys choice at the moment.....

I think it's still open. If Moylan gets off to a shocker and Teddy picked up where he left off it might not be so black and white. In addition, another centre may make themselves known and Dugan may get shifted back to fullback to accommodate.

If Teddy happens to be selected for Origin we will be DOOMED !!! , Woods , Farah and Teddy .

But for Teddy to be selected would mean that the Tigers would be doing well on the field ? So a few wins would be on the board for Teddy to be selected i suspect ?
Not necessarily though as Teddy could be in Awesome form but not the Tigers .

He needs to show that he is strong enough for first grade before he gets into Origin. The jury is still out on that issue at the moment.

Agree OutbackJack, hence I said earlier that he needs to play good strong football all season and be fully fit..if Teddy gets another serious injury then I reckon his NRL career will be over..not being negative just my opinion, another season on the sideline would do him absolutely no good at all…..

FG,hope your right,it's still a bit early to see if he completely gets over his rehab and into strong hard football…..time will tell...

To answer the OP, Yes

He will be the competitions form fullback leading into the series.

Healthy JT is certainly one of the best FB's. However, I would prefer that none of them (Farah, Woods and JT) is selected for any rep game during the season, WT are the first and only priority

Go Tigers :sign:

Lot of potential NSW fullbacks falling over ATM

Shame that

Don't worry your Pensioned side are on there last legs. Thaiday is struggling to make the bench at Club level

Bird won't be able to sniff out the half a dozen penalties he normally does in SOO games

I hope I'm severely mistaken, but I can't help to think that his speed and lateral movement is going to be affected now, a bit like the Lawrence case.
I think Moylan will be the fullback as I've said it on some other thread a while back.

He came back from an ACL and was arguably the best player in the game for the first 6 weeks or so, I doubt a broken leg would affect him as much as an ACL would.

A bit exaggerated from my part comparing him to the Lawrence case don't think to that extent. You make a good point he was the form fullback at the beginning of last year and that was after coming back from an ACL injury.
His running style is maybe something that may need to be adjusted, but then again who am I to pass such comment when that is not my field. :unamused:

He has a strange running style, but I'm not so sure he needs to change it. His last 2 injuries can't be attributed to that imo. The game against manly someone fell on his ankle if I recall correctly. And his injury against Canberra was just a freak accident.

Fullbacks named in round 2:

NSW
B. Morris
Hopoate
Gordon
Moylan
Stewart
Tedesco
Gidley
Wighton
Dugan

QLD
Kahu
Inglis
Slater
Zillman
Morgan

NZ
RTS

ENG
Tompkins

Out of the NSW fullbacks, 6 of the 9 players have played origin before, and the 2 others (Moylan and Wighton) are up and coming stars who daley has big wraps on. I don't think we'll be seeing tedesco in origin this year.
