WORLD CHAMPION TO SHOW OFF TITLE BELT AT PANTHERS GAME

IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale will be a special guest of the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, May 21, for the clash against the Penrith Panthers.
The Campbelltown boxer recently beat Germany’s Sebastian Sylvester in a split decision in Germanyto win the biggest fight of his professional career. A proud Wests Tigers Member, Geale will be introduced to the crowd and will show off his new title belt.
Geale became the first Australian to win a world title fight in Germany after failed attempts by Anthony Mundine and Danny Green. Geale joins Jimmy Carruthers, Lionel Rose and Jeff Harding as the only Australian born boxers to win a world title overseas.
The fight was scored 118-110 (Geale) 118-112 (Geale) and 118-110 (Sylvester).
Geale’s professional record stands at 25-1\. His only loss was the IBO middleweight title to Anthony Mundine in 2009 in controversial circumstances.
A regular at Wests Tigers matches with his family, the man nick-named 'The Real Deal' has put Wests Tigers players through various boxing sessions over the past few years. He has formed a close bond with the Club.
