Only watched the first 20 minutes of the Italy Tonga game but Teddy had missed a couple of tackles already

He played really well in attack.

In defence all of Italy's outside backs really struggled to contain Tongans big men.

Glad he improved , it was strange to see someone who we all know puts his body on the line no questions asked to be arm grabbing and not putting his body on the line

I thought Tedesco was one of Italy's best. Their defence in the first half was quite good I thought. Tedesco has a hand in showing a few Tongans over the touch line.
Italy looked to be the far better side in the first half, they just couldn't put any points on the board. Paul Vaughan really impressed me too, he ran the ball strongly all night. Italy just ran out of steam in the second half and the big Islanders rolled over the top of them.

My brother was at the game and managed to get himself into the dressing room. He said Tedesco was voted as the player's player. He also said the ref had a shocker and teddy should have been given a try. He said if Tedesco had played fullback Italy would have had a better chance as Minni doesn't back up the middle and missed a few tackles.

DCE is a dead set champion.

as for cronk, if it wasnt for his combo with smith and slater- i dont think he'd be anywhere near the rep scene. he is a hard working dude but lacks creativity and vision of a half.

If Cronk was from NSW, he'd have been the first choice halfback since Joey retired. Mythchell Piss would never have got his grubby little mits on a Blues jersey.

Don't bet on it CB,
with Laurie the Snoze running the show now, MP would get picked first up every time.

disregarding consistency and on talent alone- i would've players like carney, maloney, pearce, campese, reynolds' and even scott prince in front of cronk.

i actually have immense respect for cronk, he deserves to play at the top level- no doubt. but i do think he lacks the instincts and the creativity of a top shelf halfback.

however, he has obviously worked very hard on his game and continues to do so

Slater named as the Kangaroo arrested in Manchester.

I'll have some of whatever you're smoking.
Cronk is a phenomenal halfback both in regards to consistency AND talent.

I'm surprised that Bulldog hasn't been arrested for assault with his continual media beat ups

Well if it turns out Slater wasn't arrested I guess you can lord it over him if you want.

Sorry LaT wasn't talking about this occasion , just the other few ( :roll ) occasions that he has

At least we can't blame Joe Root this time

Billy Slater held by police after nightclub scuffle

Kangaroos player Billy Slater was held by police after a fight in Manchester.

Details are scarce, but Greater Manchester Police said they would release an official statement soon.

Fairfax understands he was placed in custody, and was arrested after being involved in a fight.

NRL Statement

Australian Rugby League team management has confirmed Billy Slater was detained by police this morning and has been released without charge.

After reviewing CCTV footage of a scuffle outside a Manchester nightclub, police have determined that Slater was the victim who then acted in self-defence and has informed him of his right to press charges.

Billy was returning to the venue to collect his jacket that he left behind when he was attacked. Both men were detained for several hours while police reviewed footage of the incident.

The Australian team players were free of official duties after returning from Ireland.

The saddest thing about these stories is that people need to remember just how lucky Billy was that is was caught on camera and justice could be served. I feel sorry for some players who get absolutely hammered when they're out and if they do anything (or absolutely nothing) they are absolutely slammed by media and the public. SOMETIMES it can be as simple as a footy star rejecting a girl, and in her embarrassment attempts to ruin their careers or gain financial benefit. I unfortunately knew the girl who accused Brett Stewart of sexual harassment and can tell you for certain she did these sorts of things all the time and was known as one of the biggest skanks in the local area, a compulsive liar and heavily into drugs and alcohol. But the media didn't see this for a long time, in affect almost ruining Brett's career. I'm no fan of Slater or Stewart but I hate how these idiots can potentially do these things. The NRL needs to be harder on the guys who continually do wrong or are convicted of serious crimes (Ferguson, Lui for eg) and banish these idiots from the game. They should remain innocent until proven guilty of course, but if the offence is serious enough and proven to be true. Ban for life.

Isn't it ironic that even in a non-football incident, it's just another Billy Slater "accident".
