World cup

Danny Brough has a fair kicking game on him, he's trying, but they have a lot of players that aren't yet up to this level.

No surprise NZ whitewash. They look like favourites to me.

Agree, can't see Australia beating New Zealand if the match is reffed fairly.

All NZ players are in form while only half of the Australian team actually deserves to be there

Australia will win the game out wide , we have a massive advantage in the centres

A lot the big game players (Thurston ,Smith ,Cronk ,GI ,Slater ) are in cruise mode

The minnows struggle to shut down SBW , we won't

Gallen and Co will shut down SBW and Foran and Johnson will struggle with limited space

Australia by at least 10

Have to agree with most of what you say there Happy but Slater has been a disappointment of late with silly errors and poor defence becoming a regular part of his game.
He must be close to the end of the line in the international arena.
If Inglis went to the back we have got plenty of quality players to replace him in the centres.
Even if they wanted to stick with Inglis in the centres I think Hayne offers more at the back now than Slater.
Cronk must be looking over his shoulder at DCE as well.

Sorry CK Slater hasn't been at his best , but when we needed something he delivered

Remember the 50 metre individual try v England just before half time CK

That would of mentally shot England down going into half time

Australia will beat NZ comfortably in my opinion. There's way too much class in the Australian squad, and they won't be any complacency like I think there was in 2008

Take into consideration that for the Smith's ,Slater's , GI's and Cronk's they have achieved everything else bar winning a World Cup and they won't probably still be around for the next World Cup

Inglis is only 26, Cronk only 29\. Inglis will definitely be there for the next one, Cronk maybe (although I think DCE will firmly be the #1 halfback in the country by then).

Sure. The Aussies have the best team. But confidence will be our downfall. I don't really believe in the 'It'll be alright on the night' theory. And the Kiwis will have a few tricks up their sleeves….and we are coached by Sheenius.....

no the aussies wont get complacent, that's why i think they'll win. not after 08.

if the kiwis want to win the final (and make it) they will be reliant on johnson, foran and sbw to provide that spark. that extra bit of creativity and composure under pressure is what separates aus from nz. Slater, GI, Cronk, JT, Smith. any one of those players can bust the game right open. nz have to contain them which is already difficult and simultaneously give johnson, foran and SBW a chance to create something.

in a different time zone (asia) so dont even have to! plus every game here gets repeated about 3 times, just watched NZ vs Scotland at 2pm it was on at 4pm but i didnt watch and now at 6:30 i can watch usa vs oz

I just randomly thinking that wouldn't it be nice as a WT's supporter to have a game like the Australia v US once or twice a year

You know we will win , but its just a question of by how much

I can't remember too many games I have gone in supremely confident we will win no questions asked

Luani good so far.

Jeez Pettybourne, where was that hustle for us last year??

Pettybourne's been solid for USA all WC. Really makes you wonder what was wrong with him over here

You also said Hayne to centre was "sheenius" - I will correct you by saying in the context of this squad it was a genius call as the last two tries have displayed

You need to find space for your best players and a Hayne-Inglis centre partnership is potentially one of the best ever (abundant size, pace and power combined with ball skills honed at 5/8th)!

Only Miles-Kenny, Meninga-Renouf & Inglis-Hodges were better within my lifetime.

We are playing the USA :roll

Lets wait til we play the Poms and Kiwis and see how he handles it defensively before you start sprouting off how well he is playing

And on this game , for the Americans sake I hope the Australians don't get the same amount of ball in the second half they could score 70 plus at this rate

if thurstons kicking was on we would be closer to 50 right now im seeing this breaking some records maybe close to 100 tonight unfortunately for the yanks

not looking good aye…

hopefully aus go a bit easier 2nd half, maybe concede 1 or 2 tries and only bring the score upto 60-70.

better than some union annihalations, i think oz got 150 against Namibia or something like that. And USA lost 67-5.
