Maybe one of the most underperforming based on his club form, but there are many who have played much worse.

It's probably more a reflection of the lack of quality NSW has had in the halves for the better part of a decade that he hasn't played well but he is often still the best option for the Blues.

What about the legendary Michael Ennis who I don't think even won a single game and hid behind Snowden? The man they dubbed "built for origin". Tedesco isn't far off this list either

Mullen
Kimmorley
Merrit
Pearce
Gallen
Kimmorley
Buhrer
Snowden
Ennis
Gidley

Where was steve turner? Chris walker? Those two truely were making a mokery of the best of the best notion of origin.
Agree with jamie buhrer. But there is ALWAYS a manly bolter in every NSW team, no matter how hopeless he is

I'd forgotten about Nathan Merritt! Was the feel-good story of the year when he got selected, right up until when Queensland crucified him on live TV.

Justin Hodges' debut was the best one. Couple of in-goal blunders cost 2 tries, he got hooked off the field. Funny as, couldn't of happened to a better bloke. The bloke who threatened more violence and retribution on opponents than anyone in Origin history yet never even threw a single punch….....onya Hodgo!
Pearce is far from the worst.

Poor Wolfman. Playing Origin ruined his career.
Can think of a few others that should be added, e.g Uate, Turner, Quinn, Merritt…

James Tedesco? Close to one of the top 10 worst players to play origin? I think your credibility was last seen passing Neptune…

****

Surprised no mention of Ken McGuiness.

And for mine Andrew Ettingshausen. Always seem to go missing when the going got even a little tough :frowning:

This is a month old article - old news.

Dopes writing about things they know nothing about.

Scott Pryde does not have any with regards to his articles.

Might be good to have a top ten writers and top ten commentators list.

I'm sure this goose would make the list- then again he is a nobody.

Players that come to mind for me is Russell Bawden, Adrian Brunker, Terry Cook, Craig Teevan… Im sure the list is long and notorious!
