If they are just oversights and it's not an orchestrated attempt to wipe out any mention of Wests then what are the old Maggies on about?
Obviously there is a conspiracy theory of some sort.

They paid the 160 outstanding.....

Slate clean.

I know you hate the Wests side of this merger but your bias is becoming embarressing - where in the article does it say Wests rejected the compromise that Balmain put forward. From my reading it says Wests queried Balmains ability to meet the compromise they put forward but in no way rejected it.

Obviously comprehension isnt ur strong point….its embarassing....note the spelling.

I dont hate the Wests side of the merger,just the lack of crowds at cambo and the lack of juniors provided from the supposed junior nursery,and the constant whining about the unfairness of it all.The poker machine money from Wests Ashfield,just down the road from Leichhardt is very good.

PS.....Balmain beat Penrith in SG Ball.Second year in a row,plenty of good kids in that side.The Balmain junior nursery continues to feed the Wests Tigers with future superstars.

It's not a conspiracy theory, fact is the magpie was for a long time put aside.I was quite jadedin the early days but you move on. What's annoying is when clowns (not aimed at you) tell you that there are no biases and the JV views both sides of the fence equally…it's all in the magpie fans head.

Anyways, I hope the pendulum don't swing to far west now cause without balmain wests would be no more and judging by Balmain's current state you balmain fans would be barracking for a team playing Newtown. just a nice even spread of representation of both clubs. Somehow.

Fact: Wests Group has Ashfield Leagues as a Wealthy backer of WT

Fact: Some WT fans who originally followed Wests Magpies feel that WT is often portrayed as a re-badged Balmain. This is expressed in my posts and by many others with MANY examples

After all that, does anyone know what is happening with the old leagues club. Has it sold? Can we sell it? Can we partition the government? Without a leagues club, the Balmain side will continue to struggle. Even if the development get approved, what does the club get out of it? Does anyone know anymore? I think most of this stuff comes down to fear of the old Magpie disappearing.
The word 'Wests' isn't enough for the JV -and even though the current team is called the 'Tigers' the old brigade want the maggie there as well.
Personally I don't mind a small maggie somewhere on the jersey as a nod to the past - even if it has zero relevance as a mascot to the current NRL team.
By rights the same thing should be accorded to the word 'Balmain' being present - but it isn't.
Reason being there are still plenty of people on the Wests side of the fence who 'think' people still perceive WestsTigers as Balmain.
Imagine the howling if the word 'Balmain' was to appear on the jersey in close proximity to the Magpie?
Personally, I don't know anyone who calls the WestsTigers Balmain .
Really ….Masters writes these articles just to stir things up more than enlighten people.
