Madge went 9th - 11th -13th -15th ( when he left) now that's a bad trend so I guess some logic there BUT
NOW 15th -16th -17th since .You just can't get any worse
Pascoe you are CEO of a failed club that's gone backwards every year .The buck stops with you .Your entire effort was that you bet everything on a NON HOME GROUND training facility at Concord . I think Parras home ground Comm bank stadium right in the heart of Parramatta and right next door to their huge leagues club is far more impressive
The players in last 2 years are those that have gone elsewhere and now I bet quite a few that wish they were elsewhere . You failed do the right thing ! I'm starting to lose interest

Honestly I don't think that's all so bad on paper, but matches aren't won on paper. Why did they leave out the 2023 signings, don't suit the argument?

I will definitely spare Pascoe much criticism for the signings in 2018 - that's 100% Ivan Cleary, who obviously has gone on to make 3 consecutive Grand Finals with someone else's roster.

The only thing is I didn’t like being accused of fabricating a story to suit my point of view.
All good 👍
Strange seeing Gus supporting Pascoe last night “saying that he is a good corporate CEO, not so much football knowledge” or something to that effect.
That is why he was on the field kicking balls before the broncos game.

He was up skilling

Thanks for the clip! Defend him possibly.
What I found more crucial is how Gus described him.
He knew at the time at the Panthers he needed a CEO with more football nouns.

I urge people to watch that clip.

Pascoe has delivered on everything Gus mentions he is good at, at our club.

My problem is I strongly believe the club has an odd view of success in terms of running a football club.
When they appointed Justin as CEO they headhunted him to improve the financial side of the business including sponsorship, marketing etc and you can’t argue that he has not done that.

‘He is not the one to set the program, identify the roster, the type of coaches required’

A successful football team on the field generates success for the Wests Tigers brand off the field.

No around the other way.

Panthers knew in 2015 which way they were heading and which direction they needed to move in.

Delving deeper you will find those signings were the result of a three person committee of Ivan Cleary, Justin Pascoe and Kelly Egan. Heard it straight from the horses mouth on radio when Kelly Egan was discussing how they came about to the Josh Reynolds signing.

Not so bad on paper?
They were a collection of has beens and rejects from other clubs.
As pointed out by Needaname, your last paragraph is not accurate.

No but the criticism falls on Cleary.

You can't take on rejects and rebuild projects, and then dump the club 1 year later. Of course everything goes to trash then. These players were signed for the coach to develop. Ivan gave the club every impression he would bring his son across when that contract expired.

The same thing could have happened when Sheens took a punt on all those signings in 2003-2004: Hodgson, Prince, Richards, Elford, Whatuira, all out of form or injured, but he put them together, stuck with them, and they became a premiership team.

We gave him the wrong job just to get him through the doors. We needed someone to make us more profitable but because we're so undesirable we couldn't offer him a CCO position, we had to go the whole CEO. A position for which he isn't qualified, and has subsequently failed every year he's been at the club.

He isn't there just to make money, he is the leader of the club, commercially and in football. His position covers everything, and no doubt he's aware of his shortcomings and tries to help out the football department to enhance those skills. But he still keeps failing and he's simply not got to be our ceo, he just doesn't have the full skillset required

That’s not the point you made.
You stated it was 100% on Cleary.
Please provide published statements from Ivan where he said Nathan was coming across.

And the other question is who gave approval for it to go ahead ?
The man in the fedora I assume.
So that’s “Tales from Tiger Town” and “ Ask the Boss”.
Why do these guys keep leading with their chins ?
Ask the Boss has been around since Ivan Cleary was coach. Marina Go probably deserves some of the blame.

So if he is absolved from the football program, then where does it fall? Coaches? Inbetweeners? Are they all just treading water for the domino to fall so they can start knifing each other?
We've had a huge turnover of coaches under his leadership. Who makes these calls?
