You can't touch Mitch- eels vow to protect Moses

For the record, he kicked the FG which ultimately won us the game at Suncorp last year.

You know I'm not being facetious but my memory was that Brooks kicked that FG, you are right it was Moses. I wasn't in the country at the time couldn't watch the game live.

I am surprised to review that Moses actually kicked 3 FGs for us last year, 2 of them kind of pointless Rd 20 in a 13-point win over Dragons and the following week in a 15-pt win over Parra.

He hasn't kicked any others 4 seasons until this evening.

Also I'd love to know how many attempts he had in the games we lost last year, e.g. the Melbourne game I mentioned previously at LO, as well as the 1 pt loss to Titans at CSS, either of which would have put us in the finals.

Could not give a rats what this powder puff gets up to i support the tigers.. and whoever plays for them ex players like moses are not worthy of my time or thoughts. Everyone knows what moses brings to a team and thats either diamonds or rocks unfortunately for eels fans he produces more rock like performances. They will learn.

Yeh I was pretty sure he'd kicked one for us.

Even Dallas Donnelly kicked a few too in his time….its no biggy

Interesting quote from Arthur after the match:

_"He was nice and calm going into golden point, **spoke really well to the players**."_

Clearly young Mitch has been throwing tantrums and winning lots of friends amongst the team.

To be honest, Benji was not a bad defender relative to other halves. He went through a flat period, but that was mainly due to shoulder issues. At his peak, he generally did enough to get the job done. Having players like Galea, Ellis, Heighington and Fulton around him certainly helped.

Anyone else remember the tackle on Darren Smith in the 2005 semi final??

Benji in defense got there. He was looking far heavier and bulkier in 2010 then in 2005\. Definitely he was heavily targeted and very fun to watch. I do remember some absolutely hopeless years in between.

We should have told Marshall to stay at 5/8 and partner Brooks. The combination was awesome and we could have had a halves pairing. Instead we put the house on the Brooks/Moses halves combo and Moses did not want to stay…. *sigh* :deadhorse:

Opportunity and a chance to make first grade is great to offer new starters. But rolling out the red carpet for "new talent" was DUMB.

If what we overpaid the one junior half with was used to overpay Benji with we would have a better result. And what we overpaid the over junior half with was used to backend another senior player with we would also have had a better result.

Gee by the way people react over Moses says that he has the goods. I'd go as far to say some are having a sook.

Some people have a lot of hatred for Moses the maggot for the way he dogged it on the field for WT in his last few games. That is understandable and justified IMO.
Anyone can see that he will have some match-winning performances for Parra but he will playlike a gutless, useless hack in plenty of others. That sums Moses up in a nutshell really.

Being the Devil's advocate. His time at WT he was not the only one prone to defence and attack lapses. There was something in the water. I missed last night's game but he seemed to be improving recently. I feel that we can't fully judge him until the end of this season under completely different circumstances at Parra. It is possible he becomes twice the player.

He played better than I've seen him play for a long time. Of the 3 who have attracted so much hatred here Moses is the one who comes closest to deserving it. Tedesco and Woods try their best every game. Moses on the other hand stopped trying from the time he was refused a release. He wasn't trying too hard before that either. He's a spoilt brat imo.

I watched the game and he was being treated like a hero by the rest of the team after scoring that goal. I didn't see anything to suggest the rest of the team were against him. More like the opposite.

Why would they hate on him, he just won them the game. Let's see how they feel about him if he puts up efforts like he did for us or if teams score multiple try's down his side of the park.

Thing that annoys me is how much sterlo, Freddie and benny (Moses groupies) carry on.

Maybe the kid is all that and I'm just blinded by my tiger eyes.

I've no doubt he will get better, he's in a good team that is moving forward. Still sucks though, but what can ya do?

I agree completely. That guy is having cracker games as well - MOM a few times. Tomorrow big day at the club - PACQUAIO VS HORN, followed by TIGERS VS KNIGHTS, followed by Ex-Tiger captain - can't see myself getting to church.

The Melbourne game featured a ridiculous miss from memory - right in front about 15 out.
