Your Team vs Bulldogs Round 7

Our Tigers will need to be playingfor close to 80mins no matter what team goes out there against these dogs.

On paper we may be better but these guys dont give up.

My preference is for no more debutants and we lock thus one down.

Danger game.

Its always a danger game for WTS when we play teams lower on the table

Rumours are Shawn Blore has already been told he’ll be playing this week.

Let’s not expect the world from him all he’s gotta do is do his job

Would be keen to see that. Off the bench I assume, with Eiso to lock perhaps and Mikaele to Prop if Musgrove is ruled out?

That’s what I would go for

Is it unreasonable to think that Luciano could go to 13? In the first half it looked like he had a heap of tackle involvements, played 80 mins and was still active in attack. Assuming that he gets a break at some stage the only real issue is who plays on an edge in his place.
Alternatively I think Eisenhuth is the easiest swap for Twal, he will do a job and I think will bend the line more than usual with the rule changes.

Luch would be our best 13 for sure after Twal. It would weaken our edge which is where we need to attack the Dogs. Their left edge Averillo and Crichton is suspect badly. We need to go to BJ and Nofa early and often.

The rumours from what, a Facebook group?

Twitter - no idea how legit they are. We will find out tomorrow I Guess

I thought he was a development player only...

I'm starting to work that we are very inexperienced

Nope got signed in our top 30. Development players are eligible for first grade anyway, Hoffman is a development player and will probably play this week

Fair enough. Thanks for sharing. There have been some fantastic rumours recently.

Problem area is props. If we go in with a weak bench, we lose. Need Mika to stay on the bench to keep our rotation as solid as we can. That means we need someone to start to partner Aloiai, and I'm thinking Eiso. He'd be a good lock, but we need him as a prop this week. So ET to lock, who needs to be extra careful because the refs are pinging us big time recently in the '6 more's and you just know they'd love to get stuck into ET.

Aloiai needs to step up here, and lead our forwards on his own.

Doesn't Mika play for the Slimey's

lol, yes probably. Mikaele I meant. My mistake, I thought he was so famously renowned that everyone on the planet would know him by just 'Mika'.

After our man @WestsLifePod broke the story about Shawn Blore debuting, @WackosWhispers is saying he will start at lock on Sunday

Reece Hoffman likely replacing Jennings with Taylor, Lawrence and Seyfarth in contention to replace Musgrove

Best case scenario is that these young guys go out there with a point to prove just like McIntyre did.

Will not be an easy assignment this week.
Dogs are playing good footy ...
They lack attack but their pack is working well.
So it will be down to our forwards to lay down the platform. If we can’t jag a win this week then I really can’t see us near the final 8 at the end of this season. Done and dusted as far as my assessment..

I agree, absolute must win.

I think Elijah Taylor needs to be in the pack
The Dogs have a very gritty bunch of fowards all capable of playing big minutes

In better news for Michael Maguire's team, young outside back Tommy Talau is fit for selection after overcoming a hamstring complaint. (NRL.com)

From NRL.com

Wests Tigers trio Alex Twal (knee), Robert Jennings (hamstring) and Zane Musgrove (foot) are expected to miss Sunday's clash with Canterbury.

The Tigers are awaiting scan results to confirm the extent of the injuries. An initial diagnosis for Twal was an MCL injury which could keep him out for a month.

In better news for Michael Maguire's team, young outside back Tommy Talau is fit for selection after overcoming a hamstring complaint.

Meanwhile, Elijah Taylor, Chris Lawrence, Oliver Clark and Shawn Blore are in contention to fill the forward spots left by Twal and Musgrove.

Clarke for Musgrove
Eiso for Twal
Talau for Jennings

Blore for Eiso on bench

Start Clarke because he ads nothing off the bench.

Bench...

Blore
McIntyre
