No idea about injuries or suspensions

Mason doesn’t deserve another go at fullback. He has a lot to work on in lower grades before returning. Staines to fullback and one of the wingers to be promoted.
Sezer will probably be suspended, so Latu should come in as the club is refusing to use Bud and he is injured anyway?
I’d also have Pole starting with Fainu from the bench. He is struggling lately.

Last I checked Rugby league was a contact sport.

Sezar shouldn't be suspended for that tackle.

The NRL have not charged Salad for either of his 2 "on reports" from last night.
BTW Kennar who was given 10 in the bin for his tackle on winger Luke Laulilii is facing a 3/4 week holiday - should have been a straight send off last night. Joke by the ref and bunker.

It really is a week2week knee jerk reaction.
NRL justifies its officials doing this as player protection.
That should be fair enough except the "process" lacks consistency and any sense of fairness.

If the ref hasn't seen a problem, let the overnight review catch up with miscreants and citings follow.
If it is seen - and I'm meaning at the time without delay - follow the on-field process and the player is sent off, given 10 mins or just a penalty.
All the ref needs to say is his reason for a decision.
As things happen now - and this "gets up my goolies!" - the play goes on and some minutes later, the ref crosses his arms above his head and tells player X that he's on report for something well gone.
We fans have no idea why or when.
So champion @Spartan117, you're spot on:
The number of players on report and sin binnings have become a joke.

Couldn’t agree more. That is so embarrassing the way they do that. It just highlights to us fans that they have made a mistake and frustrates us.

Yep got to agree Staines at fullback , Mason not up to top grade at this stage

We need a shake up in the forwards. Klemmer out and Fa'agutu from the interchange with Pole starting. Latu Fainu replacing Sezer regardless of whether he is suspended.

I've been a big critic of Klemmer but the past two weeks he has been decent. Certainly his defence has been important, while his go forward has been ok. We will never get value for money out of him, but if he tackles like he has the past 2 weeks and someone can get him to run that little bit harder, then he will be of some value.

Just on front rowers, I think with the right coaching and right work ethic, Sione could be one of the best props in the game. His footwork, go forward and offloading ability is fantastic. Needs to work hard on defence but last night he was one of the few that tackled well which is a great sign. I'm very excited by him. He and Pole would be a lethal front row.

Sione Fainu has come on well and his game last night was outstanding. Klemmer is pedestrian in defence and his backing into the defensive line reminds me of a prop from years gone by. I think time has caught up with him and more impact from Pole and Fa'agutu, even in short burts, is preferable.

Very concerned about 2 things- DCE kicking game vs Mason & giving the media the opportunity to bag the club regarding Brooks if they beat us.

As has been pointed out- Mason's catching is an issue. But instead of shifting Staines to fullback, I'd move Adam Doueihi.

Bring Naden or To'a, Mason or Feledy into the centres & put Doueihi to fullback. Catching ability isn't in question. He'll involve himself in attack. And he's played the position before.

1. Doueihi
2. L Lualili'i
3. Naden
4. Faataape
5. Staines
6. Galvin
7. Sezar
13. Papali'i
12. Sam Fainu

9. Koroisau
8. Utoikamanu

14. Mason

AD won't play fullback, his fitness is clearly an issue atm coming back from the knee. I'd play Staines at fullback and bring in a winger, but I really like a lot of the things Mason did. I think he'd struggle defending in the line at centre, but I wouldn't mind seeing him on the bench or playing 5/8 to Galvin at halfback. Kicking game might be an issue though.
