If you finish 2nd I reckon you have the easier run to the GF

play Phins at home (tough match up) but if you sneak past them you likely play a prelim against Roosters, Cowboys or Sharks. All of them are out of sorts atm

Or finish 1st and play the Roosters first up, if you win you have a likely prelim opponent against Dolphins, Knights or Rabbitohs

There a possibilty if they rest most in rd 27...and they win week 1.of the semis they get a rest week 2..a lot will have only had one game in a.month,

I hadn't seen their team yet, that's what I get for commenting on a post on the first page of a thread.

I never said that the they didn't want the minor premiership, I said that the money is of little value to a team like Penrith since they are well funded, and that Ivan is probably more focused on winning the GF than the MP, as five GF wins in six years would place in the pantheon of great coaches if he's not already in the conversation.

Could come down to who they would prefer to play. The MP’s are odds on playing the Roosters who have had a few hiccups the last few weeks and they are going to be without Walker. Whereas the Dolphins can score a lot of points. There’s always the chance they don’t care either way.
