Your team?

I'd be very surprised if Sheens changes the team after one game (not that I agree) except where injury dictates changes.

One game and it's panic stations! We just looked underdone tonight. Kicking game was terrible, attack just didn't click and defence was a bit off. We don't need wholesale changes yet - we lost 4 tries to 3 against a fired up team who played really well and we were average.

I didn't see BRET play but whoever was better out of Daniella or Brown should take Utai's spot. Utai tried hard but that effort on Morris(?) that led to the try after Lui's passed got knocked down was dead-set ordinary.

Anyway like I say, no need to panic yet… We were fairly poor and were in the game until the last 5\. Better times ahead. Sheens will work them hard and we'll get the points against NZ.

Daniela instead of Moltzen as there needs to be a mandatory back on the bench.

And if Gibbs is still unfit 🙂pray: please come back Brycy), then Woods starting.
Also, if Ellis is unfit, then A Shirnack/ J Schirnak (sorry i get confused) as a direct replacement for Ellis in the secondrow. I like Fifita and Dwyer as impact players off the bench. Leave them as it is and don't change game plans due to injuries which are confirmed before the game.

Brown in for Utai, besides having to deal with injuries, I don't see the need to make wholesale changes after round 1.

Hell the only major change that really needs to happen is to get the damn kicking game sorted out.

If Brown is our next Fullback, wht isn't he playing there for BRET?

No need for changes baring injuries. That was our best 18!!!

Utai didnt disgrace himself last night, but i believe brown is a better option.
Mckinnon looked slow, flat and unenthusiastic.

Same team as last night. They were good in parts, just couldn't put it all together.

It appears that Ellis had only rolled his ankle.

Agree with Smeg regarding Dwyer. There were a couple of tackles (I think the one that stood out was Pritchard, will have to watch the game again,) and he stood there with his back to the play and left someone else to clean up.

Sheens will give them all a flogging this week. I am confident we will bounce back next week.

Not sure why some people are still picking Utai, lol….
or McKinnon.

Clearly we have way better options than this.

That will be the situation today when the team is announced…I for one would put McKinnon on notice..he showed little last night....also I prefer Brown to Utai...

Sheens will name the same side due to us playing on Monday night.

I'd stick with the original side named with the only exception being drop Dywer for Woods, hopefully Gibbs will be back and Ellis is fit to play.

McKinnon really needs to aim up and if he doesn't in the first 20-40 then bring Moltzen on - he needs more game time anyway.

1.McKinnon ( i would persist with him.He was'nt as bad as some are making out)
2.Tuqiri
3.Lawernce
4.Ayshford
5.Brown (why Utai was playing in the first place is still a mystery)
6.Marshall (passing & running game where first class but kicking game was atrocious.Must improve)
7.Lui (has to talk more. One big reason we lost was because we were so disorganised)
8.Gibbs (should be back)
9.Farah (I counted one kick all game & he is suppose to be our best kicker. He didnt play like the leader he is)
10.Galloway
11.Fulton
12.Payton (looked lethargic out there but i cant see Ellis playing so we need his D & expierence)
13.Heighnington

14.Moltzen (needs to be used more than the last ten minutes)
15.Fifita (i thought he was our best forward by a long shot.In for a big year me thinks)
16.Dwyer (A bit tentative i thought needs to use his size a bit more)
17.Woods (not a bad debut & with Ellis out he deserves another shot)

I would name and Identical team Bar Utai. Not cause he was rotten but because I favour Mitch Brown over the next few years in that spot.

Mckinnon to stay @ 1 and Moltz on the bench.

The Fwds need to remember that they are big scary boys

1) Daniela/Moltzen
2) Tuquri
3) Ayshford
4) Lawrence
5) Brown
6) Benji
7) Moltzen/Lui
8) Galloway
9) Farah
10) Gibbs
11) Ellis
12) Fifita
13) Heinington
14) Payten
15) Woods
16) Dwyer
17) Lui

I'd keep McKinnon at fullback for now and keep Moltz on the bench, I noticed on the highlights the grubber that Moltz went to clean up he showed a lot of in-experience not going for the turf to get out of the in-goal area and got a drop-out forced against us from which the Dogs scored.

Also McKinnon did make a try saving tackle on Barba there at one point.

Don't be writing off McKinnon just yet.

Good side. Farah had to be playing injured didn't he? Rest him for God's sake until he is fully fit. Dwyer has to go.

I like Ayshford as lock. He runs are pretty good but he cannot set up his wingers as a good centre should.

I would prefer Brown at right wing but we will definitely see Utai in the #5 next week because he did nothing wrong to validate dropping him.

I have heard that Gibbs is out for three weeks in which case Payten starts for him and Daniela can come onto the bench to take the pressure off Farah at dummy half if he struggles.

Ellis has just rolled his ankle, hopefully he will be back in time.

Moltzen to get full game match fitness for Wests/BRET.
