I'd still go with a lock forward role that is basically a prop and interchange 3 of those players. I think we need to win the forward battle. Halatau can replace Sironen, Lawrence or Farah when they need a break.
Cherrington at some point is going to get a run though.

Has anyone studied Addo Carr defensively, as it looks like alot have him outside Simona?
This has a left edge of Lawrence; Brooks; Simona; Carr and his concentration/reads will be very important outside the forever wondering Simona.

Although there isn't anything wrong with it as long as he knows the right time to jam in and make the hit. Can't have guys getting on his outside on our own line. Naqaima is very good at jamming in when needed and putting his body on the line. I think Chance Peni is the smoky for that wing spot.

Would love to see Chee Kam in the 17, just think he is a player who could have the x factor, but looking at our roster its hard to see who he is going to dislodge come round one. Obviously with injuries he will get a chance at some stage, but would love to see him off the bench come round one
It will be interesting to see what NRL coaches are doing with the bench in 2016\. Re less inter-changes. I'm guessing you would still have at least two front rowers there.
Chee Kam would be an ideal utility player coming off the bench to replace a second rower/lock or centre . Then we also have Halatau and Ballin to come on as a fresh dummy half or edge forward.
Now with the addition of Tim Grant , as a straight out Front Rower, Sue will either start as prop or lock or bench.
A couple of experienced players will miss out on the 17 at the start of the season.
Ballin won't be fit for the first few rounds.
So I'd go with Ava, Edwards, Chee Kam and Halatau on the bench.

Being in the leadership group doesnt mean you play NRL… The Wests Tigers have a squad of approx 70 players [NRL;NYC; NW Cup]. and leadership needs to be spread across a few grades to sell the main goals etc.
I'd suggest Halatau will be pretty close to NRL come round 1, but dont factor the leadership debate into team selections.
Structure balanced with a Game Plan should decide which players are in our 17 week-to-week!
