It’s all about respect. Both ways. Respectful relationships last. Non respectful relationships don’t. Respect for each other is so important. If you think and act respectfully to each other - all will be good

This really isn't true. People respect each other but end up divorced.

The reality is that relationships will involve conflict and growing up. The alternative is worse. That is how really bad dysfunctional relationships happen - i.e. you just let problems stay under the carpet.

Respect is important but it's much more complex that what you state.

Not to brag….
But i'm a TRUE ALPHA.

Cook, clean, deso driver, take care of my woman... all whilst still wearing the pants.
Wouldn't dare raise a hand to her as her dad would probably murder me but because I love her too much to upset her.

She's got herself a good deal.

Demps …..you wouldn't raise an hand to her because her Dad would murder you ...**..mate your better than that\
\
You shouldn't raise a hand because you love and respect her too much** .......biggest thing about relationships is knowing when to walk away and compromise ......calm down and put yourselves in your partners shoes for a minute .......sometimes you need to think outside of the square when it comes to relationships .....

We just clicked up 27 years a few weeks ago ........

Back to the topic though Zane needs to treat women like he would treat his Mum or would want his Mum treated .....end of story

lol, as I stated in my post mate…

I am a lethal martial artist trained in the ways of hand to hand combat... I know exactly what I am capable of and when to use it.... and against women, unnecessary.

I apologize Demps , maybe I took what you wrote the wrong way , just I know I wouldn't be concerned about my late F-I-L as it wouldn't cross my mind no matter how frustrated I was to hit my Mrs

I think the reason men ark up at what you say happy is because you talk in absolutes…."In life generally too many males see women as their slaves and the lesser sex , when they try to break that stereotype some unfortunately cop it". I for one am tired being lumped in by association with YOUR stereotype of "generally too many males". Give me a number...what does generally even mean? How do you quantify that remark? Making women believe the lie that they are highly likely to be thrashed by their partner for not doing the dishes or accepting eternal servitude is disingenuous.

To show you how offensive your post seems to others, just replace "males" with Jews, Blacks, Muslims or some other group.

Your commentary makes it sound like it's over 80% or something, when the data shows it's less than 1%. Of course, 0% is desirable, but you should know, across a population of 24 million people, it's unlikely any crime will get to zero. In fact, name me one crime that has been eradicated?

You're so blinded by your opinion that men are this way, that you felt the need to explain ("mansplain" even) to Demps that he shouldn't raise a hand "because you love and respect her too much", but the bloke already said that in his post...in fact, verbatim he said exactly that and you missed it.

I'm just tired of the view that all women are perfect little specimens and men are oafish apes. I'm tired of the man bashing and unbalanced commentary. Instead of bashing men, why not show point out a role model you respect...let's celebrate good men, rather than focus on the bad ones.

Rant over.

100% correct.

You can use me and my dad as good role models. My dad was a doctor who spend years working hard and doing his best. He paid all his considerable taxes and has never hurt or scammed anyone. I've worked hard and bought up 3 kids. My mum and my wife have both worked as well. It's a family unit that works together.

My mum and my wife do the majority of the housework but they aren't beaten down women who don't state their opinions or are somehow forced to remain married to big bad brutish males. I assume they love us because we are good men and it's laughable to state they are somehow unhappy or want to do less housework or anything like that. If they don't want to clean the kitchen they won't.

Bravo gents…you don't hit your women and you help them out around the house...just like 99.9% of the male population with a brain.

No man supports this type of behaviour from Musgrove....I really don't think his issue is a male issue...it's an idiot issue and thankfully, we have laws to bring men and women that are violent to justice. Men that do this are despised by the male population. Men like this are bashed in gaol. It just goes to show, the worst of male society takes issue with this behaviour.

I think the reason men ark up at what you say happy is because you talk in absolutes...."In life generally too many males see women as their slaves and the lesser sex , when they try to break that stereotype some unfortunately cop it". Good post

It's a good point a lot of women can break good men and vice versa.

Who said anything about hitting your wife ? Seriously. This is where I have massive concerns. You rant about bad men and how many women suffer from DV but the statistics state that you are wrong.

Women aren't perfect little beings. They commit abuse just as much (if not more than men). Sure that tiny percentage of men who beat women or worse are dogs but that isn't a females shouldn't do too much cleaning at home issue.

I think it's evil the way people like yourself state that men are bad and assume that women that do housework are somehow disadvantaged and unhappy. The women that I know can take care of themselves just fine and can and will raise any concerns that they have.

I don't understand why you think this is any way voiced at you 😕

If it doesn't apply to you don't you just move on ….......seriously :brick:

I would never raise a hand to my wife, she's my soul partner love of my life.
House work split 60/40%, outside I do 100% of the work.
We both work demanding careers, she's a school teacher (3 days a week now) I do shift work.

Sounds like my life… lol.

My wife and I care-take a beachside caravan park and anyone that’s ever stayed here knows she’s the boss lol ?.
It’s good to see all the forumers are on the same page for once haha, the only chore I refuse to do is the ironing…....

Idk why this comes across as some phony attempt for praise for not hitting a woman, but it does. This thread has turned into a circus. People congratulating themselves for not being violent :crazy

Demps did. Read the thread. (It was tongue in cheek)

As a woman, I think it’s all well and good that you guys participate in housework - you live there too, why shouldn’t you also participate in keeping it clean and functioning? My partner often cooks and cleans the kitchen, he helps with other chores as I ask him because he lives here too.

That being said, I don’t understand how completing housework has any connection to being violent with your partner.
In my job, I’ve seen many many victims of IPV and FV. To be perfectly honest, in 10 years I’ve literally had one man disclose IPV. Now that’s not to say women aren’t perpetrators, that’s just to say that in my experience only one man has disclosed it to me.
I have found men are generally more reluctant to complain about being victims - that’s part of the wider problem of stereotyping and parents teaching boys what being a ‘real man’ is. Men should be just as able to disclose violence as women are - and should be able to seek help.

Does anybody have any info or know what the Zane situation is up to? Are we keeping him basically is what I want to know? And if not, are there any rumours for a replacement?

There won’t be any news until after his hearing.

Dont know about Zane but apparently we dodged a bullet with Walker
We had made inquiries about getting him over but talks have stopped

#1

That was close

The Wests Tigers have dodged a bullet having made a secret play for troubled Manly centre Dylan Walker.

Tigers coach Michael Maguire has a strong relationship with Walker from their days at Souths together, even though he was forced to show him the door after the prescription drugs episode.

And in a belief that the Tigers backline requires bolstering, Maguire had sounded out Walker prior to him being charged by police over a domestic violence incident.

The charge has all but killed any hope of the Tigers on-going interest
