Dont know about Zane but apparently we dodged a bullet with Walker
We had made inquiries about getting him over but talks have stopped

That was close

The Wests Tigers have dodged a bullet having made a secret play for troubled Manly centre Dylan Walker.

Tigers coach Michael Maguire has a strong relationship with Walker from their days at Souths together, even though he was forced to show him the door after the prescription drugs episode.

And in a belief that the Tigers backline requires bolstering, Maguire had sounded out Walker prior to him being charged by police over a domestic violence incident.

The charge has all but killed any hope of the Tigers on-going interest

Nrl leaks

That's 2 strikes for Madge! He's not batting too well with his choice of recruits.

That's right, Walker and Musgrove are not top tier players by any stretch of the imagination.

I would never raise a hand to my wife, she's my soul partner love of my life.
House work split 60/40%, outside I do 100% of the work.
We both work demanding careers, she's a school teacher (3 days a week now) I do shift work.

Sounds like my life… lol.

My wife and I care-take a beachside caravan park and anyone that’s ever stayed here knows she’s the boss lol ?.
It’s good to see all the forumers are on the same page for once haha, the only chore I refuse to do is the ironing…....

I’ve been TOLD never touch the ironing.
Which I gladly agreed to.

That’s good advice

Does anybody have any info or know what the Zane situation is up to? Are we keeping him basically is what I want to know? And if not, are there any rumours for a replacement?

He’s currently not a registered NRL player.
I don’t think the Tigers can do anything until the court case runs it course.

TBH if he is convicted he will still get a contract somewhere and thats the real black eye in rugby league imo. Zane tetivano beat his misses and just moved from newy to the roosters, lodge another, robert lui back in the day, dylan walker the list is endless. Until they get serious about it, it will continue to happen

The person people are not talking about, is Ben Barba.

Why, because the Ben Barba response is Messy. Yet I believe it is the right way forward.

So Domestic violence is NOT ON. I deplore it.
But when you have kids together, you have a family and a guy with a problem. Canterbury with Ben helped try resolve this problem via counselling and emotional support. The idea being that you work through the issues, remove violence from the situation and help restore the relationship. But it's messy. Really messy, not a clear cut issue as you have to talk how to rehabilitate someone who has done something horribly wrong and then how to make the rehabilitation not the violence the role model.

Now that means, accepting someone who is a woman hitter back into league. I can do this if the guy says "I was a grub, I did wrong. Guys don't do this" and actually means these words. If the abuse continues he gets kicked out.
They should still get punished. Min 1 year out of league. Naturally any 'civil' lawsuits get resolved first.
I, myself am up for a culture change that stops this behaviour instead of just pushing it out of League.

I don't know about that, Sheens and Taylor use to pick their favourites every week, regardless of how bad they were the previous week or month.

Geez your wife is a hard taskmaster! A crease is nothing! Try scorching or burning a hole in something like I usually do

Honestly, it boggles the mind how people (blokes mostly,) find it so hard to iron?

It's not bloody rocket surgery. And like anything, the more you do it, the better and quicker you get at it.

Exactly , Mrs only ask me to do my own stuff , how hard is it

I am trying to think outside the square with this and I'm not sure if this is the answer , but if we could get some cross code agreement on the subjects like drug use , domestic violence etc and the same bans in rugby league are also observed by rugby union you could take out players back door they always think they have

I guess the big problem is usually these blokes are 3 parts to the wind or wrecked off their heads and when they react the last thing they are thinking of is will they get the sack

The other problem we need to start trying to understand is the individual players themselves , what their past actually are and who will be massive risks of making judgement errors based on their past histories

If the only thing you know is violence , more than likely the only way you will solve an issue is violence Help develop coping mechanisms at a young age , make it part of their process of becoming a footballer

They have so much time to spare , there is no reason for them to help them help themselves

It's almost as hard as performing surgery on a rocket!

My rocket might be short , but it works perfectly

Now just got to convince the wife it is ready for take off , she keeps grounding it due to bad weather (headaches )

+ Dane Laurie (the Panthers nabbed him after tigers cut him for domestic violence).

Trivia question;
Can anyone name the sportsperson that original morphed "Rocket scientist" and "Brain Surgeon" into a Rocket Surgeon?
