Wests Tigers announce leadership group for 2022

I don't. Loved him in u20's and when he started. Hopefully being part of this leadership group boosts his profile...

I don't think his profile needs any boosting. I like him but that doesn't mean he gets given a spot in our top team. He has to prove himself just like every player.

Madge can drop Tamou from the team if he needs too. He can also drop Brooks. That is the advantage of having a leadership group.

I’m a little surprised that Hastings wasn’t picked. A lot of people have him in the side over Brooks, even before Douehi comes back from injury. Maybe he isn’t the leader or player people are making him out to be

He needs to prove himself. Give him some time. We already need him to be a prime Andrew Johns.

I have to say that I am a little disappointed that we have named 5Co-Captain’s?…really,do we need 5?
Starting from the top office,to the coaching staff, and the players we need to start fresh and set a strong example of what and where we are going,to me this seems messy and very confusing?
Just my take on this.

They aren’t captains, they are a leadership group. Most clubs have them

In the fair dinkum department, will any of these blokes compete for their Dally M position award in 2022? Or are they just happy to ‘compete for a top 8 position’. Me thinks it’s more of the same.

Should of left num nut alone to just worry about his own game and consistency,Luke doesnt need anything more to over load his brain

They had one captain, we have 5...

No problems with a leadership group every club has them but 5 captains is dumb. 2 is enough

We dont have 5 captains. Its a leadership group. We had one last year, we had one under Cleary. Pretty much every club has a leadership group.

Almost half the team are captains. You get a prize and you get a prize and you get a prize. I think it's pretty dumb.

Also don't really like giving captaincy to new players, I think it cheapens our jersey and captain. You don't have to have proved anything in our jersey before getting the captaincy.

You want lots of leaders, but you really want one voice when it matters and for that voice to have opportunity to build that role. I could accept two captains, five is something else all together.

The five players, who were appointed to the leadership group by their teammates, will share the captaincy duties throughout the 2022 NRL season.

Was tongue in cheek. I do hope it boosts his profile so that some other team thinks he is quality and takes him off our hands. 😊

Benji Marshall (4) Chris Lawrence (7) Elijah Taylor (6) Russel Packer (5) Josh Reynolds (1) all captained the side at different times through the year.. not all in each game..
