I support him. I like what he can do but hasn't got the build to stay on the field. Some people are just not built for the rigors of full-time football. Not very supportive of one of the team.

That reads a lot better than your original post.I support him. I like what he can do but hasn't got the build to stay on the field. Some people are just not built for the rigors of full-time football.
Agreed. We looked at our best in the trials with Hastings and Madden playing as our halves anyway.OR… Simpkin plays 9 with Brooks moving from half to Hooker for 10-15 minutes with Madden playing 14..is also a possibility
He can also play lock. One problem we have considering any Rua upgrade
We already have three hookers contracted for 2023, do we want to risk going for four
If Liddle struggles with injuries we will potentially find it challenging to move him along
Like Preston Campbell.I support him. I like what he can do but hasn't got the build to stay on the field. Some people are just not built for the rigors of full-time football.
Madden in an up tempo role and with a top flight kicking game for a nine in the dozen or so minutes either side of half-time does it for me. Well at least worth giving it a go.Rua isn't ready. Yeah he looked great but let's put this into perspective.
He lasted 10-15mins in both trial games then got subbed off whilst playing against mostly reserve grade quality players. If he was ready he would've played out the rest of those halves. Sure his ball delivery was good and he ran with gusto but he also was a major ball hog which he would get eaten alive by a NRL side. He has alot to learn and NRL shouldn't be his stomping ground yet.
Jake is coming back from injury and will struggle to last 60mins in the NRL let alone doing that week to week at the start of the season. If someone gets injured his time will extend on the field.
Backup hooker will be needed for 20-30mins of the game. If someone gets injured it will be greater. Rua isn't ready or the answer for that gap. It's Peachy, Hastings or heck even Brooks that are the only ones who can step into the hooker role if needed.
Quite a few, no rock stars but that’s how we rollHe can also play lock.
🔥🔥
How many of them do we have ?

IMO he is very one-dimensional: quick scoots from dummy half. His passing from DH, kicking game and his defence are all pretty ordinary.Liddle is a hugely underrated hooker. He is a threat everytime he has the ball. It is sad news for him but I hope he makes a quick recovery and has a change of fortune.
Yes according to zero tackleIs Liddle still contracted for 2023?
Just forgetting Rua for a sec as he is very unlikely to be playing Round 1, the rotation that would least affect whatever cohesion we may have around 9, 7 and 6 would be Brooks into hooker when Simpkin needs a break.Rua isn't ready. Yeah he looked great but let's put this into perspective.

It is crucial that your 9 can hold his own in defence, that is something we wouldn't have to worry about with Brooks there. His defence is just about his strongest asset.
Madden would get slaughtered defensively playing hooker IMO, if he is plugging a gap it should only be in the halves. Peachey isn't a great option either, his lateral movement isn't great and we will need his energy up if he is going to provide a point of difference for us with ball in hand.
Hastings could fill in at 9 and do quite well there but he is our best half so leave him where he is.
Brooks could really turn into a decent hooker if he got some solid time there. It is pretty obvious he would prefer halfback though so that's a problem.
Absolutely.I agree, think Brooks could potentially be a very very good hooker - can't see Madge doing it though.
