If it was that easy for any half to slot into a strong club and be successful the real good ones wouldn't command the amount of money that they do. The Roosters have not found it easy to replace Cronk and their results show it - even with their wealth of talent and resources.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...

I'm sure a lot of Tigers fans would agree with you but when you break it down;

Brooks has played over 100 more games than Brodie Croft and you probably have not watched a lot of BC's 65 games so you're always going to lean towards Brooks....

I think they're the same and they're both average.

I thought he was our best in round 1. People are so influenced by msm that they can’t even bring themselves to praise his good deeds on the park.
I heard one commentator mention about 4 players in the side as being our best. Unable to mention the word Brooks, suggested the “team” looked good when they kicked to the corner for Maumalo.
Incidentally, which player got the most Fantasy points in round 1?

Walker x Keary is a very interesting pairing.

Both very similar.

Look at it in the sense that one has played almost 200 games, has an NRL contract, and even if he left our club tomorrow, would have other NRL clubs interested. Croft left the Broncos, had no interest from any other NRL club and went overseas. And not even to a glamour club like St Helens or Wigan. He signed with Salford. Brooks would find a significantly better club if he were a free agent.

It’s not just the media, they get on the back of other supporters
 
Brooks might excel at Storm or Roosters but let’s be honest we’ll never know the answer, they have their halves sorted and have some extras as depth so Storm and Roosters will never make an offer for Brooks, only reason Knights want Brooks is because they don’t have experienced halves, Souths could come knocking for him with Illias being crap unless they go with Taffe or they land someone else, Walters was good last week no denying that but I believe the influence of Reynolds who is a leader is what changed them around yes he didn’t play but his presence at training to help them lift is what could result in Broncos being back in the 8 last 2 years they didn’t have that which is what also contributed to them finishing 16th and 14th, when you look at our supposed leaders Brooks who hasn’t risen when needed, Nofa who blames his teammates for his mistakes has what has resulted in poor culture and poor performances as well as others Moses and Teddy managed to go to clubs who didn’t have that problem Woods was the unlucky one which is why those 2 have had better success than Tigers, the club needs to have the balls to either change them around attitude and performance if we want to have success and recruit better as well which so far we have but we do need more to make 23 a success so Brooks and Nofa and whoever else has bad attitudes or not contributing need to either turn themselves around and be better or Tigers need to ship them off and recruit better leaders and players who want to make a positive outlook into training and culture to turn things around.

Walker a talent and may prove to be an exceptional player but he is a work in progress that the Roosters have had to commit to - many mixed results last year. It didn't work with Flannagan and they didn't waste any time in moving him on.

I think he's been blessed with an extremely lucky run for many years.

I think his situation would play out like Brodies... go to another club, suck there too and then disappear to England.

It is what it is though.... he should do OK tomorrow.... surely Clifford won't embarrass him and outplay him.

I was simply agreeing with the fact that Brooks is a victim of playing for a poor club for a long time.

If, and when, the club improves its roster around him, he will no doubt benefit. Hopefully that's next year and onwards.

Simply saying someone needs to leave to become a better player is lazy and selectively excludes all the myriad of players who have left out the back door to go on to do zilch.
