You get different personalities in a footy team. Some guys are super focussed early in the week while others are still mucking around in the warm up. I’m not one to say there is one way to prepare. But here we have a guy with long-term known attitude issues and a guy who is young and impressionable. At a club with a known losing culture. I think the boys should have stayed in and focussed on their job on the field.

It’s just another example of low standards at WT.

Were they drunk and or disorderly? Were they groping women? Any fighting or drink driving involved? No punch ups, sleeping outside police stations, no cab rides to Newcastle? What time did this tragic incident occur?

Was this " Carol's " sighting of the players verified?

Im not sure what you expect "dedicated professionals" to be doing at 9pm the night before a game?

These two would have been up early, trained that day. We have no idea what else they did that day, but for a couple of hours on a saturday night, they sat at a pokie and blew off steam without drinking and left at a respectable hour.

That would actually be a neat way to set up TPAs. Let's get Munster and Cam Murray to sign with us for $100k but they magically win $50,000 a week in pokies at Wests Ashfield. Surely the machines can be rigged so the house loses!

Goes back to what I said before,the guys on here with alter egos would have been fine with it if we won....
They are professional players...BUT they are also able to occupy their free time how ever they wish....SOME should get it through their heads that they are human beings and not NRL robots...money.sponsorship,club pressure all have an effect on all of them,surely having free time to be people cant be that bad when they havent broken club PROTOCOL....wake up....

I think the pokies can be quite therapeutic for some. Especially for the mind. Takes away any thoughts of other things. As long as you’re in control of course.

My mum slaps pokies when she’s stressed at Ashfield rsl for an hour or two on the 50c machines.

I don't care what players do in their own time, as long as it's legal and they don't hurt anyone.

However considering our club had a big game in Newie the next day, it's inexcusable.

I want to call them clowns, but that would be degrading clowns. At least clowns have a trick up their sleeve.

Serious question - why can't they wind down the day before a match? If they are already in Newie, it means they aren't home, so it's either that or their hotel rooms.
