I totally agree with ellery .Madge press conference was terrible .Our attack is rudderless .been tiger fan for 70 odd years never seen such apathetic performance. One note it is obvious we have 2 great forwards(rest ordinary)
Kelma and Luciano who are going elsewhere next year .

New here and I don't know league as well as most of you. People talk about the quality of players but have any improved under Madge? How many have lost confidence and gone backwards?

Did Souths players improve under Maguire? All I saw were a trio or quartet of rampaging Burgi and some other already-good players win a comp by playing bash and barge. From then on, the team and the players all went backwards and Souths only showed their potential when Siebold took over. And Siebold is not exactly Robinson, Bennett or Bellamy, but when he took over I noticed that the Burgi did not drop the ball as much as under Madge.

Four years and I can't see any player improving their skills, other than Brooksy kicking goals, and most of us would rather he practiced getting repeat sets.

300%...why should the coach be sacked when the useless overpaid cattle cant get the BASICS right...these guys are in the top Rugby League Comp in the world,give forward passes,no one at dummy half,watch a ball go over the sideline,dumb mistakes,stupid penalties,no discipline and absolutely no control whatsoever...
If I was Madge I would tell Sheens that this mob are as useless as a "one legged man in an arse kicking contest "...
No amount of coaching can stop STUPID and that sums up this team....most of them have survived because of talented players around them most of their careers,the younger ones will only learn stupidity off these pretenders....

This is something that slightly bothers me.

I don't like that the team looks disinterested and still lack the direction on the field, but why is our coach coming out saying that when there's 20K paying members wanting the team to atleast put up a bit of a fight.
We know they're incapable of capitalising on all opportunities given we lack the talent and leadership but would still love to see their motivation levels high every game - regardless of who the opposition team is.
If the team are choking under pressure and aren't mentally prepared for the contest, atleast try what Ivan did to simulate game day experiences so that the team doesn't collapse every single game, when the chips are down.
It helped build some form of trust within the team.

Lauren,I understand your sentiments,however,Madge constantly says the team train well and are giving it all they have...
Maybe thats the problem,what they give isnt up to NRL standard no matter what Madge tries to do...

I disagree strongly with this.

I have supported them 40 years, why would I walk away?

Why not just call for change? If enough people call for change, they will have to act.
