Yep that’s him. I was good mates with his son in the 90’s. Cracking bloke and I can always remember when I was at their place he would be making blind jokes one after another. I never knew if I should laugh or not but he was a funny guy and really sad he passed away pretty young.
Yes, what a character. He said he would look me up when he was running up my way. I think he said he played for Penrith lower grades before his eyesight failed? I never knew about the bee sting therapy before that day, but Ched said he honestly believes that it slowed the eyesight deteriorating.
Last I heard his son was going to carry the torch on his behalf but the games committee had a problem with it?
You’re lucky to have known him.

Madge keeping the faith and all the so called rejects born again.

Now everyone wants to play for him.

And looking at Dwyer in the box who's seen a bit thinks it's a miracle and a little funny.

So where are we at the moment?

Madge still cannot coach? Just getting lucky?

To me it looks like they were bottling it once the whistle blew, and finally a general glued them all together...

Feeble minds needed to believe in someone out there. Leaders are born, skills are coached.

We dont look all that unskilled with a leader on the pitch.

What a difference a week makes.9 days ago I thought he was clearly the issue. So I've found it very interesting how openly supportive the players are of him now we're winning. It is rare to hear that sort of praise except about Bellamy and Bennett. The Chammas article mentions how he has had to change his approach too, and done so. Good on him. It can be hard to hear and harder to do.

I'm so disappointed madge didn't get the ass to reserve grade where he belongs watch this space I can't see them winning another game. So what they just won against the eels if they didn't make so many mistakes eels would have flogged them. I am very anti madge and just wish he would piss off once and for all. Just my view people will not agree and some will cheers
Another heartbreaking win for the good guys..

Very wise words from your cousin, and spoken in a way that is very meaningful. It helps if those involved all share the same vision, but that alone doesn’t guarantee success or help from others. I think this is what makes Hastings a good leader, he appears to have an obsession about footy which is not readily obvious in other players. Sheens must have seen this in him and discussed with Madge a long time ago. Perhaps it’s part of the evolutionary process that we keep hearing about? “The need to trust the process” from Madge and the team.
I understand that these things take time
I really believe that Tigers haven’t had a majority of players on the same page. Tigers identified that they need to change to start winning. Madge has been part of that. Employees will either work with the change or they’ll leave. The hard part is attracting the right ones when you’re losing.

Top post TFerret.

Madge Is the reason.

We havent seen this coherence as a playing unit in our history.

Let's not be too excited, this isnt a great squad full of rep players and its only two games.

The good thing is , We played 2x top 5 sides off their games through discipline, high completion and teamwork.

This is what Madge said would happen, its just taken a little longer that we all wanted.

Bring on the dragons.

A patchwork team with a true leader on the field if some can't see the difference that it makes to the function of the team they never will. We are still minus the quality that is needed to mix it with the best, but the commitment and effort to do the simple things right has got us over the line the last two weeks against two more fancied sides.

Typical, the week I turn on Madge we start winning🤣 I guess he really was seeing what he needed to off the field and just frustrated it wasn't translating to game day. He and Tamou made that point 100 times yesterday.
