Why do people start these ridiculous rumours/claims without being able/prepared to support them?

You usually don't have a review unless you already know the answer and are justifying a decision already made (read first review but the Board couldn't get the coach it wanted).

I was hoping the club showed a little more professionalism and held a review based more on identifying areas for improvement. These reviews now carry the expectation of sackings, blame shifting, which can only serve to tear the club apart.

So what you are saying is the rules/desires for our club that were in place when Madge became our coach changed half way thru his contract and as a consequence Madge has to pay a heavy price by being TERMINATED.

Maguire didn't get results. The NZ Warriors CEO said they are not interested in him and this is one of the reasons.
 
The only thing i have faith in Sheens to do is cover his own rear end.People have forgotten what a complete disaster he left the club in when he was jettisoned.I hope things improve sooner rather than later but i doubt very much if it will happen while that fraud is here

With respect Paws...is your comment coming from your learned knowledge of coaching?
Then presuming you are 💯 correct, do you feel the WT Board should have known this also prior to hiring Madge?
And if the Board did know this prior to hiring Madge, surely Sheens would have also known this rite from the get go?

Yes. This is not the first time I have shared this information. The only tip I ever received is from a work colleague, who had been a coach in the lower grades at an NRL club, a scout and now worked full-time as a professional. He told me the day Maguire signed with WTs as he knew I supported the club. I asked him his opinion of Maguire - he said Maguire will not suit the style of football played by WTs. He was spot on with his assessment as I knew he would be. I'm surprised Magpies you are so invested in Maguire that you could not see it.

Papalii said he signed because of the money, Parra had him on $150k in his first year, we offered $600k, Parra wouldn't match it, so he came here

Yeah I agree, surely a mess as big as the Wests Tigers needs a coach who has coached at least one game before?

No one thinks that ! But what is the point of this forum of its all just this place is a mess . LOL the mess . Like what is happening the actual point of voicing the obvious ???
You say it like as if your the only one in the know . BLIND FREDDY CAN SEE IT!
Where the discussion though Ie. The reason to be on a forum ? Madge wasn’t performing or getting the results to sustain his job .
This isn’t the nba where you actively tank and everyone cops it on the chin . Even the NFL which has a draft and clear way of pulling yourself out of the muck doesn’t tolerate 3-9 performances , even when they’re partially tanking .
and for the millionth time , this isn’t about what happened last year it’s about who is going to be here in 2024 . And no one in thier right mind thinks Madge was going to to last until 2025 . NO ONE!
So what’s the point , if you’re trying to build the club for a run in 2025 or 2024 or even 2023 . If you think the coach is on borrowed time . You move him now and deal with it .
And to be honest it looks like Madge has achieved what potter and Taylor were hired to do . Clean up the club remove the mess , set up pathways and sprout some green shoots .
The next coach is walking into a way better job than Madge inherited . And that sux for Madge that he’s basically done all this work for someone else to inherit .

I feel you are 💯 correct @batboy
And I feel there is more Sheenanigans/spin than actual coaching and organising ability to sheens which may very well wear pretty thin fairly quickly.
I guess it remains to be seen but I will not have a warm glow waiting to see which way it turns out.
I wonder if anyone has been TERMINATED from the same club twice?
