Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Dukes are beautiful bikes. Always wanted one but stuck to the r1s and fireblades. Sold all my bikes last year, haven't had one now a bit for the first time in 25yrs. Might be time to buy a duke
Thanks mate, I have owned a Fireblade, CB900 Bol D Dor, VF1000F and a Kawasaki ZZR1100, use to take my Fireblade to Eastern Creek for track days, took it to Phillip Island a few times, but I am too old for that now. I would ride from my place to Phillip Island in one day, a damn long ride on a Fireblade. I wanted the 851 when they first came out in 1988, but at $25,000, I was no hope of affording it, I finally got a good one in 2002 with only 2000km on it from a collector in Coffs Harbour, I have owned it ever since

Agree .
Which to me indicates we need true leadership . Not blokes who can lead a pub crawl , but lead on the field . And I think our idea of what a leader is , ie. the bloke who’s first into the sack ville , is the wrong type of leader .
I like Hastings and he’s doing a job , but I don’t think losing him is a loss , if we can replace his leadership. And identifying those qualities in someone else , who to be honest is more dynamic at this point. It’s just does that person exist I guess .
I don’t think we will get flogged by 60 just quietly . For sheens to pluck the pathways coach and basically jump all the flegg, magpies , and nrl assistants means IMO he’s seen something .
But hey I could be totally wrong . And with this club I probably am LOL Urgh !!
💯//💯 for bloody good and respectful debating @Strongee 🙂 and @batboy 🙂

Exactly . I don’t even think Ciraldo is the answer and Flanagan scares me as well .
To me it’s either Kristian Wolfe , purely on the fact he’s not sitting on the sideline , and he’s winning titles . It’s just it’s in an inferior league , so there’s that .
Or …. And this won’t happen because it’s pure madness , but right up the sheenius alley , hire the walker brothers . That style fits right into what the tigers culture really is . Attacking flair and lots of fun . But that’s a crazy idea I know , and is a massive swing for the fences
I'm with you re The walker Bros @Strongee

I'd be over the moon if they came here and it worked out well.
The type of entertaining game they have coached would not only be good for WT but good for the NRL.

But from comments made on ABC radio recently it seems their opportunity may have flown unfortunately.

Matto would be a great buy can play in the mids and edge a spot we are lacking in for next year, if okane or Blore come on than both Papalii and matto can play in the middle, he was my favourite player in 2019 and I agree I hated him for how he left but maybe the madge stories were true as we’ve just seen with stefano.
I was rooly rooly p'd off 😡 when Madge was TERMINATED.

But looking back he may have been a very hard task master.
Example...playing Robbie Farah with a broken bone in his leg in the shemozzle last game of the season at the 5th Wonder a couple of years ago against Cronulla.
He even admitted after the match he made a mistake in allowing Farah to play.
But at the time Madge was obviously desperate for his boys to win that match to secure a much needed place in the semis.

But I suppose really it wasn't much different to Cooper Cronk playing in that GF with a busted shoulder, he inspired his Rooster team mates to a great win.
Madge probably thought Farah could inspire our blokes enough to pull their fingers out, then go on to win the match.

If Tamou was replaced with Tapine or Thompson and we added say, Angus Crichton as a starter, then that’s the right mixture.

ATM Twal, Farts, Tamou and Stefano are all too similar
Agree but all props. Are you suggesting that’s where Blore’s future lies?

A lot has happened mate, not all good with my mum, she had a massive stroke on christmas eve, she is basically paralysed down her left side, it has taken months to sort out all the stuff involved after that
Sorry to hear that @851
Been a very distressing time for Your Mum, and You as well obviously.
I know from personal experience how devastating a stroke can be with my Mum.
I was with her when she had the stroke so I was able to get an ambulance pretty quick which I think would have lessened the effect the stroke had on her.
Life should not be like this, but with Lots of LOVE Your Mun will gain strength from that and be ok hopefully.

I have arranged inhouse physio's in the aged care facility I found her, I have also arranged a stroke physio to visit once a week as well to give her the best shot at some form of a recovery

I really feel for you mate, I lost my mum in similar circumstances, it was difficult to communicate. She used to squeeze my finger to say yes....heartbreaking.
Your very nobel mate 👍
