Luciano Leilua

That's the best bench we've ever had...
Ava, Sue, Taupau & Gavet.

You're right , the players are out there....

Topine, Tapine, Doorey, Pele, Leniu.....
Gotta get the deals done.
both Sue and Ava were awesome

Taupau, Man Taupau was the difference.
I still cheer for the guy.

From what I understand as info has come out over the last few days after 2 previous requests fr an early release by LL and his manager and support from N QLD, on a 3rd try WT agreed to ealry release and signed the termination agreement.

Now apparently LL and/or his manager did not immediately sign the termination agreement whilst they sought out N QLD contract. N QLD took a few days to sort things out and tried to deflect blame on to WT with usual vocal media support that we stuffed up.

Maybe the only WT stuff up was not having a few heavies at the door and not letting LL / manager out the door when WT management signed the termination agreement without their countersigning it on the spot.

Typical damn player manager trying to have the best of both worlds, holding us over the spot with a technicality whilst still sorting out new agreement with N QLD. I'd say in this case we were lucky Lee H is Chair as he would know the ins and outs of a ducks b## with contracts and he would know we are on solid enough procedural ground.

What about all the Journos that wrote he "Quit"
When Payten says we called them.

How many retractions you reckon you'll read....
You won't get retractions from those spineless journos BB.
The only way these shite stirers are going to leave us alone is if we win a premiership.

Apparently you can front load contracts. So extend them each for another two years and give them a sweetener this year, which is a write off.
It's not as simple as that.

We'd have to effectively cancel their current contract with 18 months left. Say they were each to receive 250k this year and 550k next year, you'd have to offer them what 700k until Nov, then 550k as originally planned for 2023 and then what 350k for 2024 and 2025? If we then want to dump the player or they want to bugger off to another club we've already paid them in advance and for future years meaning we could have paid them for nothing, and making them cheaper for other clubs. Also question to what degree the nrl would allow a players value to go up and down so much in consecutive years. Also the agent would effectively be double dipping with their fee, getting a large bonus % for 18 months that they've already been paid for a few years earlier. So yeah, very messy.

Front loading would usually happen for someone immediately off contract, or someone who's on very low salary and getting a big upgrade. For Stefano it made sense, Hastings/Doueihi/Laurie not so much.

Thanks for this insight. I do find it salary cap discussion interesting.

The salary cap is an animal that I’m not convinced the tigers have tamed. I think the roosters are the bench mark and as an aside, I think the NRL seem to allow a lot of fluidity with player values using the roosters as an example. We just don’t do it right.

I hope the club aren’t avoiding things because it’s difficult. The players do so who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️

Departing Wests Tigers forward Luciano Leilua has officially signed with North Queensland - but it has cost him a Samoan jersey.

News Corp understands that the final details of Leilua’s move were finalised late on Thursday after he was granted an early release by the Tigers, allowing him to strengthen North Queensland’s premiership credentials.

The Cowboys’ clear preference was that Leilua sit out Samoa’s Test this weekend due to the risk of injury. Leilua has agreed to do so, meaning he will be fit to make his debut for North Queensland against Brisbane in round 16.

Takes a lot to embarrass me, it was a funny post, then I wanted to have my way with it.

There’s a shitbag Penrith guy on the other forum, I call him “paws” after the Penrith mascot that was caught being a pedo. Then I started calling him “Pawsy” to rub it in.

Panther Problems.

As @gallagher knows, I have some smug friends in the fake world off line. People in their Panthers on the Prowl charity who tried to help May but he really smashed and humiliated them with his Gf tweet. They work hard, don’t get paid enough and he shat on them.

He’s a brain dead asshole and he’s thick with the Cleary’s. That might help explain Ivan’s soft social policy speech when he was re-signed. Propaganda, it was hard to stomach.

I’m glad he survived his DVT, I don’t wish him any harm, but he’s got a long long way to go before he’s Panther material.

There are some courageous Panther forumers who agree. The old Panthers want victory with honour. The rest are locker licking dickheads.
Sorry , why was I tagged in on this?

Well do you mind leaving my name out of any DV discussions. I don't know anyone involved in that event at all.
Your posts over there are generally bullshit so I hope you leave them there.
You’re not understanding but otherwise I’ll decide what I post not you.

Put me ignore, I’ll send you to the same purgatory and we will get along fine.

Didn't think it would be such a big ask. Not to tag someone in an assault charge that he knows nothing about.

If we did that, we would be the worst club in the world. Imagine if we ask Papali'i to not play WC due to risk of injury.
