Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

This team was set up to fail before the kick off this year - and that is at the hand of those making the decisions. The coach was always on a tightrope from the get go and that impacts on the mindset of the squad no matter how much Maguire talked it up and took the heat. Add the injuries and all the noise about the outcome of mid year reviews - the club had a real nerve promoting their members packages this year they should have been giving them away.

Correct about 1 thing. Joey things he himself is brilliant. He hasn’t mentioned that regarding Brooks but he does see a project I think he wants to get stuck into.
I guess it depends if the Milf stays or goes. Hard to imagine they could fit both maligned halves.

did you see Hooper on nrl360 when Kent asked him he had no idea or reason for justification to his story he said umm ahh well look at the kicking game.
Anyone on this forum could have said how bad his kicking game was against the dogs it was the worst ever and I support Brooks.
However you can tell Hopper has deadset plucked this story from thin air and on a bye week too
we willknow for sure next Tuesday but at present it is a load of BS

True or not the court of public opinion has jumped on board - so it will be interesting to see what Kimmorley/Sheens decide.

I haven't watched more than a few minutes of the weekend game to judge the latest attacks, but the Madden love by others is way off the scale.

To think a player and a half to boot, remains unsigned with less than half a season left on a contract is first grade ready material, well, is delusional at best.

Cobar,I think that we are on a hiding to nothing this year,what started as excitement for us has turned to turmoil...I personally think that Noddy has to do the best he can for the remainder of this season,if that means shifting the guys around to be a bit more competative against strong opposition coming up then the guys returning such as AD,Stef could just add that bit of spark needed to scrounge up a win or 2...
If Brooks plays 14 and AD to 5/8 with Hastings at 7 and it works,so be it..
Brooks hasnt been great,but neither have most of the forwards and therein lies our first problem...the second problem has been the injuries we have had which caused a heck of a lot of shifting around and that affected our centres,Star is a good player and will get better,if he can play alongside JTJ then he may get even better if Jimmy is fit enough for an 80 min NRL game already..
I honestly think that all of us are frustrated and angry at lots of things,this makes us try and speculate on who or what our main problem is within the team and club...
I also said in another thread that the club should have had an internal review of the club as a whole from players,coaches,recruitment and admin...

If you look at his career stats, Brooks had his best season under Taylor.
Taylorball was more successful than Clearyball.

A player of Brooks capabilties won't though....

Bad foot injuries can do that to you,especially if you havent decent depth to replace Hastings while he is sidelined...

Seriously though? It’s blatantly obvious that the club now wants to slyly nudge Brooks under the Knight’s noses. But why now? Perhaps the deal didn’t balance?
He will look like a $m and probably help Magpies get the win over the Knights?
