Why is our missing out on Ciraldo a disaster? What absolute nonsense! Have been involved in employing several people to reasonably senior positions over the years. You work out who you want and make them an offer. Some say no for a variety of reasons. If they do, you just move on to the next possible hire and so on. Happens all the time.

Surley Tim sheens announced as coach at 4pm today 2 year deal just put the thing to bed start resigning players and recruiting and call i papalli and tell him he’s comming no matter what

As long as it's the right assistant, or it might be groundhog day for another 10 years.
So if no one wants the job we need to go with Sheen's idea ASAP and hope he can recruit some players and lift us up the ladder. If we start turning things around better coaches will want to come.
I know Sheen's and Co want to keep quite but this is becoming a joke when future recruits are in media wanting out of coming.. WE ARE A LAUGHING STOCK and it needs fixing now.

The only time we've ever had any success has been with Sheens at the helm. We've apparently been turned down by all and sundry the only move left on the chess board might be Sheens grooming the heir apparent Farah or Marshall or both.
You cant tell me Sheens isnt a better option than some assistant somewhere that has zero experience. I do get the trepidation of some but can you really blame the club for wanting to go back to the well?
I'll admit it was dumb as dogshit to not have someone lined up before Madge was sacked, it was also dumb to be so public with our intensions. But we have backed ourselves into a corner things need to be resolved ASAP.

This clearly was not a disaster. It's a non issue. The disaster is we sacked a proven coach and we are struggling to get anyone half decent to replace plus it appears Sheens who completely lost it when he was here is the front runner for the job.
Honestly I don't care who gets the job now. The proof will be in the pudding. Let's wait and see what happens.

I don't think he is. He is Benny's nephew. I don't know this for a fact. People state they are related but I'm not sure it's true.

The Wests Tigers felt the wrath of his power in 2017 when nephew Mitchell Moses, James Tedesco, Aaron Woods and Luke Brooks all came off contract at the same time.
Of the so-called big four, only Luke Brooks remained at the Tigers as the club fell out with the player manager.
Tedesco himself has since had high-profile issues with Moses following the agent’s split with football whisperer Joe Wehbe.

I remember someone coming on this forum and stating he knew sooky boy Moses and they weren't related.

Flanno over Sheens any day , leave sheen in the back ground doing what he was bought in to do , Flanno Will attracted players and help get us out of this mess , he is a solid coach and we would have a good guy in the background as well , not hard
Agree 100%. Presumably at least some of the host of unemployed head coaches expressed an interest in (or actually applied for) the job. Both Lee and Sheens have said they received calls etc. They need to get this done immediately.

It's a disaster because the papers like to say it is, to sell papers, and because a subset of the fanbase is so upset about the state of the club / wins that every new negative is a "disaster".
I don't exactly blame those fans, but there are a wide range of emotions in response to all news and rumours.

It's pretty clear it's a bad look. If it was enough to get Papali'i to try and get out of his contract it's probably enough to put off potential coaches or players coming here.
It was always a ridiculously hard sell, but we had the NZ coach which offset that somewhat. Now we have no coach and Head of Football who was successful 20 years ago.
Ciraldo did us a favour. He will go the way of Barrett and Webster and will be found out as an average coach hiding behind the supremely talented Penrith playing group.
Notty would coach Penrith to a premiership.

Wouldn't we need to be successful to prove that Ciraldo did us a favour? Seeing Ciraldo fail somewhere else doesn't really bring me all that much enjoyment.
