NSW Cup Team List: Round 18

Thanks mate any names to keep an eye on?
From reserve grade?
Tupou and Tumeth for sure. Both teenagers and I 100% think Tumeth will debut this year too.

From U/21s, I think Bula and O'Kane have gone well, but Tumeth is probably a better prospect than O'Kane.

I've heard that Camroux and Tannous train with first grade pretty regularly too, so the club seems to rate them.

Fainu looks okay, I think if he trims down a bit and gets a tad more mobile, he could be a prospect.

Interesting regarding Okane.

Looks promising but Tumeth is cool, I'd like to see him do well.

Thanks mate

Yeah was just watching the nsw cup game last week.

Fainu looked he could be damaging but looks super unfit.

James probably should be playing first grade over dias

Boyling looked good

Ma'anaima had good leg drive on some runs.

Potential there but all would need to preseason of their life.

Jahream Bula should be playing Cup really. I think they're trying to ensure he's given plenty of time to develop considering he was a basketballer but he's been one of our best week to week in Flegg and deserves the promotion.

Triston Reilly looks like a well built human seeing him last weekend live.

Hopefully develops quickly.

Thought would be faster tho coming from 7s

Have a mate that is pretty clued up in all levels of Rugby - He also said he's not real quick, But has decent feet and pretty strong.... He's also a Tigers fan and didn't know he was with us (Back when i spoke to him)
But had some excited about it....

He going ti be breaking ankles in both sports

Interested to see how Scolari comes back from his ACL. Would assume a train and trial contract to begin with.
A good player to have on a train and trial. I don't think he's played more than 1 NSW cup match yet and is not overly tall for a winger but we don't have many actual wingers in NSW cup so he'd be useful to call on late in 2023 if he hits form.

Here's a write up of Jahream Bula from the Titans' Forum down the bottom of the page. Bula has played centre. He came to Keebra Park SHS from PNG originally for basketball. Noted in the write up as being exceptionally quick.

think Pom mentioned a few months back that he was gonna be put on a development deal which is probably the right move. incredibly disappointing that he went down in preseason because I reckon he would've debuted by now.
I'm a big fan of Scolari. He has pace, strength, finishing, strong defence and desire to win. I've watched him many a time and he's ultra competitive.

I see him as a winger long term. Height, speed, athleticism. Something we have been craving for our 1st grade side. Fingerscrossed he progresses well through the grades and keeps developing.
Potentially. Can It really hurt having him play Fullback in a lower grade, the demands on fitness, play reading, defence, attack are far greater at fullback.
The club is doing the same with Tupou whenever he drops down a grade.
Kinda makes sense.

I think allowing players to develop in their positions and learn the requirements of that position is a good thing.
Bula is unlikely to develop a passing game out of nowhere, he may develop an understanding for defensive positioning, but really he's got the makings of a young Folau. Tall, athletic, powerful. That's all he needs at this stage. In time he may develop other skills but as with Tupou playing him in a position that's not natural to him and doesn't best utilise his strengths only serves so much value.

Tupou could have scored a few tries last time he played Flegg but was unsure how best to use the limited space he had on the wing. These players need first need to master these skills, these are the basics in attack and defence that will allow them to move up the ranks, then we can develop the extras
