He has had 9 years in first grade to get his act together, don't give me the football anxiety line, he fluffs his lines at almost every opportunity, he is not a good halfback, and should have been moved on years ago
 
Brooks problem isn't that he is shit at everything.

in fact I think he does most things you want a half to do such as running the ball,passing and even kicking, better than Hastings but he almost completely lacks the ability to mange a game which is the most important ability fo a half imo.

Whether you think that's because of a lack of talent or cause the tigers have been shot is irrelevant, he also lacks the x factor to make sticking him at 5/8 worth it

Not debating any of that . Demps said he has low IQ . I said I disagree . I think he knows what should happen but panics . And for me the kid who came into grade made better option than this one . So what happened ? Taylor happened . Madge happened . And he’s so I. His head he looks like he has anxiety out there .
That’s where it all came from .
But his football ability cannot be in question . He’s a good footy player . He’s just not what we need. .
I don’t know what you people are reading that’s so hard to understand . Put your brooks hate away for a second .

You haven't stated facts, you've stated outright BS about Brooks like having a better kicking game than Madden which anyone who watches the games knows isn't true. You can see he's a good footballer? That says it all about your footy knowledge but I guess that's one of the many downsides of you having your head so far up your own arse.

No one wishes ill on Brooks but you seem to think that calling him shit for not delivering after nine years is a personal attack and that he should have unconditional support. That's not how it works and none of the successful clubs would have kept him around for that long. That's what separates this club from the successful ones; they don't accept or reward consistent failure which is exactly what Brooks is and what you're happy with.

The conversation is over . I hate debating with the same people , because it’s just bad faith arguing . You refuse to concede known truths , as a way to find common ground . And to me you come across as uneducated , saying known facts as if somehow they’re in debate ? They’re not . We don’t win with brooks we never have ! Doesn’t make him shit …

If you think he’s a shit halfback ! Well that’s debatable , and Whilst don’t think he’s “shit”, I don’t necessarily think he’s been good either .
I don’t think madden can tackle . I also think he looks like halfback by numbers at times . A bit like how Cronk looked when he started . Demps was right , that’s a far better comparison. And we all know where Cronk got to .
Brooks’ defence is not over rated , when compared to other halves . If your comparing him to victor radley , well then that’s different .
Brooks makes decisions at times that are baffling . Especially at key times in matches . He also does stuff and puts himself in positions in that no one else is within 50m , like the missed kick . He fluffed that , sure , but the rest of the team was bludging 30m away . He honestly would have been better jogging though and letting the try happen . No one would be the wiser . But he didn’t because he was looking to make a play .
There’s something to be said for that . I don’t know what . Because in the end he did fail .

To me all of the above is obvious AF. The real debate is whether he’s worth keeping at a fair amount . We paid him off a dally m halfback of the year . He didn’t become that and lead the team .
But like I said , I think he’s on a hiding to nothing here .

He needs to go . And we need to build a new generation free of the pasts problems . And unfortunately he’s the poster boy of that . Fair or unfair .

I think this is mostly true, he looks scared of stuffing up and played best under Clearyand Potter who were not taskmasters. The problem is fans who want LB elsewhere, including myself, mostly feel frustration and anger and a reasonable explanation does nothing about that feeling if you know what I mean. I feel both extremes whenever he does something good or bad.

Tapau isnt the same player he was just a couple of years ago..playing prop over a decade takes its toll on even the best
Having said that,Manly are still very much in contention for a top 8 slot and the peanuts they pick up to let him go early,particularly to a competitor,just doesnt add up for them
He can stay disgruntled..join the club
