Yeh, maybe, they obviously freed up as much as possible with Luciano, Mikaele, Nofo and now Gildart all being released or loaned. That's a bit of coin, likely in the 4-500k range.

I'd say most of that will be channelled into the Luke Brooks problem though.

Not so much if Tim is wanting to extend Brooks on a reduced contract

Kelma should have been utilised running wide all season. It's only in the Cowboys and Broncos games we have seen how devastating he can be.

a couple things

- Kelma staying would be sensational. it's clear Manly have a few issues with their cap, hence why the deal hasn't been announced. if he stays it means Blore can convert to being a middle forward and we don't have to rely on Talau, Tumeth or Kautoga to transition quickly. providing Ice is coming that's a very strong back row pairing as long as Kelma continues playing at the level he has these past few weeks.

- David Klemmer has been immense this year. it's clear him and O'Brien don't see eye to eye. I'd be throwing him a 2 year deal seeing as Parramatta didn't want to do it. would give us a strong rotation and would be a huge upgrade on Tamou.

- Schuster for mine would be a problem child. all the talent in the world but his attitude seems horrendous, evidenced by the condition he started the season in after rehabbing his injury. if he isn't responding to a bloke like Hasler then I doubt Sheens and Marshall would be able to pull him into line. would love to be proven wrong but for now I'd rather we stay away.

If things that are conveyed to players don't come to fruition or go against their culture or beliefs they have every right to do what they can to get out of deals and as has been mentioned no contract has been signed bad luck to Manly as the old saying goes "YOU SNOOZE YOU LOOSE" and after all it's only Manly😂😂😂

The Brooks verse Madden thing is a no brainer. Wehave Hastings and AD as our principle play makers. So the question do you spend 800g on Brooks or 400g or less on Madden. Pretty simple really we use Madden in the 7 role and have change to upgrade some quality kids or buy a NRL standard player.

Ok Brooks may be better footballer at this stage, but that’s highly debatable, but we don’t need three playmakers. We just need a no7 to feed the ball and do some kicking.

Surely this won't happen. I'm not sure we need Klemmer now other than to cover injuries which we will get.

Very interesting. If we get the Kelma of the last 2 weeks....I am happy.

The lack of formal announcement from Manly tells me it hasn't yet been registered/formalised.

If it was fully signed, sealed and delivered then he should honour the contract similiar to Papali'i.
