AD will be better with a decent preseason.
what confuses me is is the constant talk that Hastings is a key to our success. Prior to his injury and post suspension he has played in every game this season, with the results on the board.

we need 4 Decent players to add to our pack and we need speed in the backline.
been saying it for like ever maybe 12 years now. the club has let us down in the recruitment dept.

us poor fans clutch at straws.

Have you not been watching Hastings play ??
IMO he has been excellent this year and without him we stink as was clearly displayed yesterday.
Need to remember we have had a year to forget regarding injuries & Coaching change but he is the true on field leader we have lacked for like 10 years.. When Sheen moved him to Lock I was concerned like others that he would struggle but he has grown even more and this idea of him running the show and having 2 x 5/8 on the field was working a treat until injuries again..
Next year if we have luck with injuries we have
1 - Laurie
6 - AD
7 - Brooks
9 - Api
13 - Hastings
Sheens has a clear plan to get back to scoring points and Hasting's is the number 1 priority and should be extended ASAP..
Hasting does a lot of the 1% that no one notices but his team mates appreciate the efforts.
He is not the quickest but he just has footy smarts.

I do agree we need to add more forward punch to assist with our game plan otherwise we will struggle.

Agree. There's not many in the team that we can comfortably say are providing both confidence and direction to every other team member.
Also admit haven't seen him play better than the Bunnies and Eels games (individually) but feel since he's moved to lock he is playing a more functional role for the team.

His composure and leadership helps clarify expectations, tasks and even our shortcomings. He's smart enough to bring out this inconsistent team's strengths - he has Tuilagi or whomever isolating halves etc., and does a lot for ours. Plus he's consciously selective to assist forwards including with fatigue. All in effort to to have them working together to execute or find a way to win. That's all its about IMO. IDC how we do it, as long as we get the job done.

Also, what's wrong with overrating our players?? It's commonplace for WTs supporters 😂

Yeah, I have been watching mostly through the bottom of a glass or peeking through my fingers planted firmly on my face.

im not saying Hastings is poor or hasnt performed I’m saying that if we are truly going to lift or work our way up the ladder in 2023 we are going to need a lot more than Hasting.

I don’t think the inclusion of api into the spine alone is going to significantly improve us neither, not unless we improve the pack and some strike/speed out wide.

Agree mate..
I was hoping we would of picked up a quality player or 2 by now (excluding Api & Papa) .
I am sure Sheen and Benji are working overtime behind the scenes but as a fan it looks like we are sitting in the back row waiting for the left overs..
Thats why it is critical we stand firm and keep Papa as he will be a massive upgrade for us.
Fingers crossed we start picking up some quality players soon to give us fans a smile or 2

Yeah it's not just one player. Each good player you add to the team makes other players better. Although that assumes a team is being properly coached.

How true is that...
Everyone rates Bellyache as one of the best coaches every and rightly so but look what happens when they lose there core players and have a sub standard team.. They struggle. You add Belly or Roberson to this team and they would struggle. Look what Madge did with a quality team - He won the comp

IF we can stick to our guns with regards to Papa and add a few more quality players then all of a sudden we are a good team and Sheen / Benji will just mentor the team.
 
Don't understand whys it's 'not a good look'
Anything we can steal from Melb, players, knowledge we need to do.
If it was up to me, I'd send the whole team.

The interview was on Wests Tigers Website they obviously didn't see it as a problem. Call it a coincidence that it was brought up on here yesterday as a bad look - and there you have it today. Absolute nothing story to wind fans up.
 
Memo to LEE and PASCOE
Whoever is responsible for extending the contract of AD get it DONE YESTERDAY.
There are 15 other clubs out there that would sign him him in a heartbeat💓💓💓 and Melbourne's audacious bid to get him for the remainder of this year shows how highly regarded he is in the game .
Everyone on this Forum let the club know your feelings on this subject.
WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LET ANOTHER JUNIOR SLIP BY.
