Why does our edge and centre/wing defence always slide backwards when defending? We just give up so much ground on sets. Is this coached? I see no other team that defends this way. Reckon assistant coaches are so important to structures. Hope we can come up with some better systems next year.

We’ve had a million different assistant coaches. Doesn’t change no matter who is there.

Our club is like the Bermuda Triangle. Players just get worse here regardless who the coach is.

we should have enough money to be able to let 7 or 8 move to other clubs, and buy at least 5 or 6 top liners, why are we now saying, things like we will keep brooks, but only if we can retain him for $500.000, He has really done nothing in the 9 years he has been at the club, do you really think paying him half price will make him play any better.

LET'S TAKE NOTICE OF WHAT THE DOGS ARE DOING, THEY ARE GETTING RID OF ALL THE RUBBISH, AND BUYING PLAYERS THAT ARE GO GETTEM PLAYERS, AND WHEN THEY HAVE FINISHED WITH GETTING ALL THE NEW ONES, TO JOIN TOGETHER WITH THE ONES THEY GOT THIS YEAR FOR NEXT YEAR THEY WILL FINISH
WITH A TOP 8 TEAM.

IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE SETTLING FOR THE SAME TYPES OF PLAYERS WE ALREADY HAVE.
AND UNLESS WE PURCHASE SOME MORE TOP NAMES.

THEN WE ARE HEADING FOR THE SAME PLACE WE HAVE JUST REACHED.

Sheens has been an unmitigated disaster by any account
Sacked the coach without a plan,humiliated the brand with a spurned approach to his sole coaching contender(after sharing all our secrets) ,lost 2 of our biggest forwards mid season then 2 of our most experienced backs "on loan"...got dictated to by Douhi on jersey number rather than make him earn it ..then worst of all appointed a totally unqualified and inexperienced coach with serious question marks about his abilities to look after the next 5 years..FIVE years !!
Hired nobody..& may lose one of Madges best hires
and almost certainly consolidated our first spoon
..all in 12 months!!
His job,just like Bellamy at Storm who faces smiiliar issues about motivating departing players,is to get all these players playing to their potential rather than run the white flag up on 2022I
Hes not working for Gus is he?

A strong board would take a stand and make a real change. They would announce a press conference and roll out Sheens and Benji and 3 major signings. They would announce a permanent home ground and an identity at the same time. They would announce that this is the moment we are no longer the competition’s whipping boys. We will get more excuses, blame games, grandstanding and mediocrity.

Sorry..but from a low base under Madge,Sheens is responsible for all the above & has plunged WTs into totally new depths of mediocrity..or worse

There was no "game"..just a Roosters training run!
Seriously,the Board are incompetent,but they entrusted footy matters (and outsourced them entirely)to Sheens
They are all responsible undoubtedly,but rite now its Sheens making the catastrophic decisions,so he's rightly in the crosshairs IMO

Once and for all we can't persist with plodders some guys have been cup level for a while now and if there no x factor evident by now there never will be . Tuki never will - Peachy used to be - Freebairn,Dias, Seyfarth cup level
Tamou passed it. Our 2 centers will never be class .
Laurie ,Douehi Naden have class although not showing at the moment
Madden maybe ok if in a top team with a top pack but behind this pack its hopeless . We need a massive rebuild starting with at least 4 forwards and 2 centers

Our centres are a disgrace. Neither can tackle, we will be in the doldrums for years.

It's not fantasy footy mate. You can't just let 7 or 8 go and get 5 or 6 top liners. No club does this. Not the Dogs and definitely not Melbourne or Penrith.



He can fill a role for a short time period and we can get better players around him plus we can use that money to get top liners or hold onto juniors who are top liners.

I wish we could do what you suggest. I wish it was that easy. We've signed 2 top liners for next year but there are no more on the market and getting them is hard.

The bulldogs got rid of 7 players from the latter part of 2021 season and purchased 8 that played this season, and still getting rid of a few more because room has to be made for a few more arrivals next season, and they are not the only team to ever have a purge.
