I am not going to dump on the club when it is trying hard to turn matters around. We don't know what is happening behind closed doors because the club has plugged the leak(s). This in itself suggests improvements are underway.
Oh great. 😜.
When did this improvement start?
The recent messaging from the club was “we’ve been in a steady decline for the last 4 years.”

Here are a few initiatives or improvements I have noted -

Do you read about player negotiations being played out in the media?
Have you noticed any leaks?
Nofoaluma being loaned to the Storm to get his career back on track?
Did you notice the switch of Hastings to 13 by Sheens and its impact in the games against Nth Qld and the Broncos?
The fight displayed by the team in the Steelers' game and being in a position to win despite being greatly understrength?
The performance of the lightweight pack against the Steelers - a sign of things to come?
The appointment of David Furner as assistant coach?
Marshall and Farah's involvement with the club again?

Great points mate, well I suppose all this improvement did eventuate in us getting the spoon.
I guess your going to say we've been on a steady improve since 2005.
I'm not dumping on the club Paws, just dumping my frustration on them.
Are we supporters just going to take these dismal decisions and failures year in year out without saying something, if we do then are blind fools or at least that's how I feel the club treats us.
We have a right to be upset and the club hasn't done enough to ease our long suffering.
The spoon is ours and WT are going quiet and do they expect us to remain quiet as well. I'm not.
I sent a complaint email to weststigers that was a page long and got no reply.....I expected as much. I knew I wasn't going to get a reply but it felt good.
Still, I'll be wearing my Weststigers jersey to the grave.

My biggest concern is that very few decisions will be made but just carry on with same formula/ roster and no quantum leaps in management or strategy
Insanity is doing same thing over and over and expecting different outcome
Maybe they extend Brooks to end 2025 before 2023 even begins and finally 10 games into next season he is dropped to reserve grade because of poor form. I really hope I'm wrong .

It seems like the general feeling is we get upset when we lose someone who is making a difference and replace them with nuffties.
Sounds fair.
Paws said WT are doing things which is true and that is our hope 👍
However we have been down this plath so many times that many of of are sceptical. Once bitten, a hundred times shy.
As many of you have stated, the only way to stop the noise is to start winning.
A win against the desperate Raiders might be a good start but I'm not holding my breath.
So we go into the long off season hoping for signings to stop the noise.
I wake up every morning and check the club's news and tune into the forum but alas...nothing.
The good news is our beloved WT can't get any worse....🤔
We’ve been saying that for a few years now.
It can always get worse mate, just as it can always get better. I know Paws has pointed to some remarkable positive changes which should have us all excited.
No news on player negotiations.
Nofa going to Storm is a huge benefit.
Hastings moving from 7 to 13, pure genius.
Our performance against the Steelers. Huge.
Our lightweight pack, a sign of things to come.
Furner, Marshall and Farah getting involved.

All signs of a major turnaround in direction for the club. But as you’ve correctly eluded to, most of this happened as we headed for the spoon.
I suppose I’m not feeling the same level of excitement and hope as others. I need more.

it worries me a tiny little bit when people come out with corny sayings like beloved wt or ill die for wt as it makes you sound like a soccer hooligan
I can suggest better and more personal ways of sharing love

Next dumbest move already started.

Play chicken with the government about funding for LO.

We have said we won’t play games after next year with nil funding. State govt wont come to the party and we either look like an idiot backing down or we lose the heart of our home ground.

Why do our management always insist on getting in these public stare downs? We always end up losing them. (Aloai, “the big 3”, Benji / rugby, Farah / Taylor, Ivan/ panthers, LO oval / state gov. They always end up in public threats that never works out.

They need to be better at ensuring circumstances with an “everyone wins” mentality. If they just made more games there (NRL or any other sport) the more complaints about the oval will be public and the state leader would respond with a grant. Heck even the campaign of of “save LO” would be so much more palatable to the state gov without the threat of us not playing there would be better. (Us no longer playing at LO is better for the govt - if we go somewhere else sharing with another club the govt can throw money at that oval because it’s helping two teams and has more people using it!!!)

The Mayor of the Inner West has campaigned heavily to have the oval renovated for his ratepayers. The facility is used by soccer, union and is located next to the Leichhardt Aquatic Centre and other playing fields. It is a community facility for open space/recreation. In addition, Peter V'landys had an agreement with the State Govt to provide significant funding to upgrade suburban grounds including Leichhardt Oval. Our own Chair made a statement following that recent incident. In short, its future was always in the public eye and the subject of polictics - local govt v state govt and NRL v state govt.

I agree, but isn’t saying - well if it isn’t upgraded by next year the tigers will just move to another already upgraded facility just playing into the hands of those who don’t want to fork out the money for an upgrade?

This is their mess, the culmination of their many years of incompetence and unprofessionalism.
Pascoe and the entire board must go! No other organisation in the world would allow so many years of extreme failure go unpunished.

Success starts at the top. We need a clean slate, the board and Pascoe must go. And us fans need to keep shouting this from the rooftops until it happens! There are no excuses for their continued incompetence they have failed all 20k+ of us.

Too many fans think Pascoe is doing a great job though.
