Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Is this a joke or? Why do people mention Jordan Hill, are we referencing the guy who can’t make a bang average cutters side? Surely not
Talented junior, returning to his junior club.
In a position we don't have much depth in.

21 and ready to make an impact.
Rather him, some one that wants to be here than some weak blow ins.

So he is returning, eh?

Maybe with a 11 season semi finals drought maybe we should be asking the Forum Members
"R U OK".

I love WT but also love watching NRL in general so excited to see eight teams with superior ability to WT fight it out for the premiership. All games this week are 50/50 which is great for the game they has had cricket scores posted this season.
Good call. I'd be lying if I said this season didn't impact my mental health in some way.

Keep telling myself "it's just footy". Gotta keep thinking positive even if you don't have faith in the management of the club.

There's no way on earth the club should or will re-sign all three of Hastings, Brooks and Doueihi.
All of them are very average in numerous parts of the game. You put all 3 together and you still don't even have the equivalent output of one good halfback, like DCE for example. We can't jus settle that none of our halves are very good but we can't do better. We need to try find a solution, one player who can organise, kick, pass and tackle. More than half the teams in the comp have at least one of these types of players - why shouldn't we?
Sheens latest comments do not suggest to me that either will be signed long term without some time to see how the spine gells. I reckon they might all be offcontract come November 1 and we’ll let form / the market decide our best choices for 24

Sheensy was saying that we weren’t looking at Munster. Brooks is gone guys.
Maybe just maybe things have changed over the last few weeks. I would think with AD not commiting they have said ok we will look at others to replace you and Munster is one of them. I have no problem with this as we should not be sitting back waiting for AD or others to find a better deal elsewhere and hope they don't and we are left with nothing..

I'm not a depressive or anywhere close to it but I'm down watching our team get smashed and it takes a couple of days to get over it. It sucks.

Where there's smoke ?
SEN mentioning that Bronson Xerri has signed with a new management company that just happens to be the same management company that looks after Benji.
Xerri is banned until 2024 when he can resume playing he's allowed to resume team training in September 2023.
He'll be 24 when he resumes playing.
Thoughts ?

Read today's Telegraph. Brooks is staying for at least a couple of more seasons.

This to me is probably good news if they get his salary right. He isn't worth a top tier contract. I don't think him or Doueihi are worth a cent more than 600k. Hastings is probably in the same boat but he is the pick out of them.

It's extremely risky. A train and trial contract is all he deserves.

If he receives a Chris Lawrence style contract hopefully with a long service discount that is a great outcome for both parties. I'm glad he is staying.
