Same board and CEO in charge. Nothing changes if nothing changes

To be fair, The Current CEO came in at the end of the last cycle....
Tried to rescue it and didn't succeed...

People tend to forget (Here especially) that Mark O'Neill was the General Football Manager in Pascoes First year and worked through the deals for the 'Big 4'
We lost most of them....

Although I don't blame him, Mark O'Neill also haves BOTH halves coming off Contract after November this year - And lost 4 of his Grand Final 17 for this year at Parramatta
(Should they make it)

Big yes ✅️✅️✅️ from me for Mitch Moses.
He's improved over the years and has become a really well rounded player.

As the article says he solves our play maker issues.

Interesting these articles keep coming out, around us targeting 6s and 7s.... albeit is most likely speculation, it does make one wonder if Brooks or Adam are out the door....

A spine of,

1 Laurie
6 AD
7 Moey
9 Api
13 Hastings

Is something I really like the look of....

Also - losing Musgrove would be fantastic but we need some more hard forwards for the team asap, for 23 and onwards whilst our young guns develope.

Hopefully we can go to market and improve the pack.

Not convinced about this sook, demanding 5/8 going to Melb talks a good game actions dont back it up. Remember leaving the line to pick up his mouthguard in the 70 point romp V the chooks.
Happily take Moses back he's a flog but he backs it up with actions, we chose Brooks to put the house on when in reality we should have probably coped a bit better with the Moses tantrum and prioritised him.
I'd also happily squeeze Munster in and let AD jog on to Melb so he can show Bellyache he cant tackle and can only pass to one side of the field.
Also could slip Laurie into 5/8th and shit Staines to FB, that could work.

So we become bottom 4 for the next 3 years and those gun juniors get sick of playing in a crap side and know their development has stalled, and move elsewhere. 2017 will happen all over again.
I think the aim will be a progressive rise up the ladder (with top 8 still a target next season).

A new game style, a new attitude, the return to full fitness for Maumalo, Utoikomanu, Twal, Hastings, Brooks & Blore; a progressive year for Pole, Talau, Tupou; the incoming Api & Papaali & whoever else (Staines, another good backrower, prop), the return of Noffa, more experience into Kepaoa & T'oa; with Offa, Doeuhi & Laurie having career seasons.

I admire your optimism, but I just don't see it. I think we're further away than ever before.

Moses wouldn't be the Moses we're buying back if he weren't playing behind that pack....
We'd need to improve a hell of a lot in the pack for him to hold form here now.

Totally agree 100%

People can’t forget what didn’t happen. Pascoe appointed O’Neill 6 months into his first year and O’Neill was sacked only 6 months later.

it was 9 months later the three signed elsewhere. The club had plenty of time. O’Neill is useless but hardly responsible

Musgrove has another few years and he's on what ~450k a season? When in reality he's a 200k at most kind of player. Do we want to chip in for him to go? Because we'll have to. But i do think even Fifita on 200k would be better value than Musgrove on full pay.
Yes. We need to free up squad spots more than we need to free up salary cap space.

No way Moses comes back here. So Musgrove leaves.....another spot that will be filled by a Reserve Grader or Development player. 2023 will be worse than 2022.
Strong words re Moses .He was Benjis first call wasn't he ? Not saying he’s coming but was identified early as a preferred target.
I think it’s a choice between him and Munster for the big bucks.
But then again, we may end up with neither.

Missed the bit where I said I didn't blame him?
- Just pointing out a co-incidence

It's also common knowledge the 3 Had contracts on the table for quite some time prior to leaving after the coach they didn't want to play under was moved on.

Maybe the fact is - They were never staying....

Leaving aside the emotional hate for sooky boy Moses, the problem is that as a gold medal winning downhill skier, he is only as good as the pack in front of him and even with Pap and Api we are still massively down in that area IMHO so he won't be as effective..... but you can say that about any 1/2 so it really becomes about $$$$ and value for money.....
