Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Dylan Brown won’t go to Dolphins. Given the state of their roster going forward even we are a better attraction then they are despite winning a spoon. I do agree with you that they won’t lose both halves as if they lose one they’ll have to pay more to keep the other, but Brown won’t head to Dolphins.
think Moses stays at Parramatta Dylan brown to dolphins

Iam with the drunk when it comes to Moses,, chance zero, but what he offers a club like ours is a great kicking game. Goal kicking, short kicking, bombing and defensive long kicking are all top class. Without a quality kicking game your up the creek and at present our kicking game is all over the shop. Okay defensively he is a target but his kicking and passing game make up for it. Gut feeling he will end up with Gus at the Dogs or maybe Bondi junction

There is a lack of quality halves at the moment and all the other quality are locked up.

I could live with 2 years from Brown. But anything more than that its not worth it. As you said we need an attitude adjustment and our players to stand up for themselves,he and Klemmer would help big time in that area.
Could you please provide evidence of when he has stood up for himself other than the under 20's against the Raiders when he made himself look like a right royal goose?
Alot of people spruiking on here that he is a tough nut but I like many others are yet to see any of this enforcer tag he has somehow been given.
Imho he is a myth, possibly even weaker than a gutted dog.

Totally suspicious of Ruggers coming over .Union is so stop start with a whistle every minute means a lot of time to catch your breath . Also hits not as fierce generally but have seen exceptions
Ben Kennedy and Cam Murray were/are two of our best forwards in RL with strong rugby backgrounds. The Thornett Bros, Ray Price, Brad Thorne, Scott Gourley are a few others who made the transition to RL and did well.

Your list of players only underlines the fact that most union forwards fail at converting to league. You are going back 60 years with some of those names, very few make it

Extension to be announced after the WC
People up in arms about him not yet re-signing need to chill. This is how negotiations work. He waits until after the world cup and November 1 and hopes his value goes up. Can't blame a guy for not jumping at the opportunity to sign for unders for the wooden spooners.

That and his knees have been shot since Souths....

He has a dig, But isn't an enforcer by any stretch and is more than likely all but done....
Parra want him off the books as soon as they can (I'm not sure why they re-signed him)

I love Browny, Watched him play since he was a kid - He's had a real dig the last few years... But the more I think about it, The more it's a no from me.

Really depends on how his body is holding up.

those names from the past were some of the best backorders in the game.
even the current crop of Cam Murray, Angus Crichton & Papali'i all have Rugby backgrounds.

The 2 oldest names mentioned (Thornett Bros) were very good players,Ray Price was even better imo but the fact remains very few union forwards can make the transition as the skillsets are completely at odds between the 2 games.A breakaway would have the best chance of switching as they tend to rely on mobility (Ray Price was the perfect example of that)
