Could you please provide evidence of when he has stood up for himself other than the under 20's against the Raiders when he made himself look like a right royal goose?I could live with 2 years from Brown. But anything more than that its not worth it. As you said we need an attitude adjustment and our players to stand up for themselves,he and Klemmer would help big time in that area.
Extension to be announced after the WC
Ben Kennedy and Cam Murray were/are two of our best forwards in RL with strong rugby backgrounds. The Thornett Bros, Ray Price, Brad Thorne, Scott Gourley are a few others who made the transition to RL and did well.Totally suspicious of Ruggers coming over .Union is so stop start with a whistle every minute means a lot of time to catch your breath . Also hits not as fierce generally but have seen exceptions

People up in arms about him not yet re-signing need to chill. This is how negotiations work. He waits until after the world cup and November 1 and hopes his value goes up. Can't blame a guy for not jumping at the opportunity to sign for unders for the wooden spooners.Extension to be announced after the WC

Alot of people spruiking on here that he is a tough nut but I like many others are yet to see any of this enforcer tag he has somehow been given.
Imho he is a myth, possibly even weaker than a gutted dog.
Hate to be a nitpicker but I believe Thorne grew up in Brisbane playing RL (moved from NZ as a child). After playing SOO for QLD and for Australia, he transitioned to Rugby with the Crusaders and played for the ABs.Brad Thorne, Scott Gourley are a few others who made the transition to RL
That and his knees have been shot since Souths....
He has a dig, But isn't an enforcer by any stretch and is more than likely all but done....
Parra want him off the books as soon as they can (I'm not sure why they re-signed him)
I love Browny, Watched him play since he was a kid - He's had a real dig the last few years... But the more I think about it, The more it's a no from me.
those names from the past were some of the best backorders in the game.Your list of players only underlines the fact that most union forwards fail at converting to league. You are going back 60 years with some of those names, very few make it
Depends how you look at it.
Really depends on how his body is holding up.
Are we trying to give the Cedars a rock solid halves combo for next RLWC by playing them together week in week out?Extension to be announced after the WC

even the current crop of Cam Murray, Angus Crichton & Papali'i all have Rugby backgrounds.
The fact the Eels don't want him,
And he's getting Ky Rodwell playing NRL before him maybe answer some of that Question.
We poached heaps from union- Brass, Peter Jones,Hawthorne, etc and at least another 20 or more who were household names.Ben Kennedy and Cam Murray were/are two of our best forwards in RL with strong rugby backgrounds. Maybe due to the falling out with the coach as well though.Yeh something fishy there

Yeah, I'm all for him coming back but as long as it's not a huge amount.Bit of lodge vibes huh
