Your Team 2023

Forwards great, halves suspect, just hope the young backs come good. And hope Sheens can find another decent 1/2 or 5/8. And prey that anyone they sign in the backs has genuine SPEED.

KR, you obviously watch the training, and have some insight on what's going on. But i'm surprised that from 1 to 7 the side is basically the same, AD, Ken, and TT are hardly excitement machines in the speed department, and Laurie was no Turbo. Has Stains crashed ?
Can’t see Staines in Reggie’s, not sure of the final make up but reckon he’ll be somewhere in the first

We were so slow last year. I can;t remember the last time one of our backs ran more then 20m to score a try. I know they did not have much of an opportunity, but it was hard to watch , and an obvious weakness in the side. With the sides people are picking, i shudder at the lack of penetration, Tupou, Kepoa, To'a , Feledy, and Bulla, need to succeed.

Obviously, injuries and the like occur, so it's very unlikely these teams will ever actually run out like this, but here's my crack at putting together the top three grades at full strength.

One things for sure, we should be far more competitive across the 3 grades as opposed to last year! Very keen to see how the teams land to start the season. First trial against NZ might really be a genuine trial to see who makes the cut in KOE and Flegg Rd 1 more so than NRL.

Big effort in naming the three sides with interchange benchs plus additional reserves.

Hopefully very similar to that chosen for round one, as a result of no significant injuries, with a youngster or two having forced their way into the regular 17.
urie/staines should be sorted out hopefully Junior on a winging minimal injuries. vetoes may change as well. 1-7 seven will see form changes, 8-13 driven by injuries (none fingers crossed), 14 by team balance and the rest inform would be brilliant

Nice summary on our fringe players trying to breakthrough.

NBWT Twitter has done three awesome pieces on our players now! If anyone hasn't had a chance yet, check them out. Really good insight into our players.
