Tipping that Isaac is on the phone this morning to their club of choice to say Mitch is ready to sign

Hard to solely blame him.
It's games like these against Melbourne that really highlight Moses' deficiencies. Tightly contested, not much space, against strong edge defense and he looks very average and limited.
Not doing anything wrong but just a bit passive and pedestrian.
He's a decent half but you rarely see him change the momentum of a game in the same way the proper superstars can; rather he looks good when team going good.
Agree! Compare that to how Munster & Grant impacted the result. It was there for everyone to see last night. In saying that signing Moses would make us stronger & I believe get us into the 8. But he ain’t at that true superstar level.
I agree he didn’t step up when the game was on the line.
Have seen a few comments like Munster & Grant, Munster & Hughes etc. Brown and Hodgson were bog average both looked well off pace. The parra edge forwards got owned & Melbourne actually were able to make meters alot easier & slowed the parra play the balls down alot. NRL stats show on average each PTB was almost 1 sec slower than the Storm. Parra also had some brain snaps Sivo kick on the 2nd etc.
It was game 1 but $1.4m is a heck of alot of cash to fork out for someone who can’t make something happen when others are down. Hughes was great and Munster injected himself when needed despite the Storm missing 3 starting internationals from last year, Papz & Olam injured and at times had to play Wishart on the wing. The Storm system was on show last night.
If I was Mitch would be signing those big deals asap as Parra as a whole looked ordinary last night.
Agree, but at the same time you can see he’s developed his kicking game, stand deep to receive etc. It's games like these against Melbourne that really highlight Moses' deficiencies. Tightly contested, not much space, against strong edge defense and he looks very average and limited.

Grant is an A1 footballer, even when he was with us you could see it.Agree! Compare that to how Munster & Grant impacted the result. It was there for everyone to see last night. I might be a bit skinny on his price, but $1.2 - 1.5 is WWAAYYY overs.Elite players in Moses' position demand the ball when the game is on the line. He doesn't! He lets the game come to him and that is the basic difference between a half worth over 1 million and one worth $750K - $900K.
Moses falls into the second category. A good player, not a great one.
Elsewhere where? We’ve approached 2 of the top 4 halves in the comp?Yep it’s like Brooks, not a terrible player but his price tag doesn’t match his ability or output. If Moses comes to us for 5 seasons on 1.4 mil he will cop it week in and week out if he is anything short of a super star. The bigger the contract the bigger the expectation, and rightly so.
Personally I think we can get a lot better value and similar output by looking elsewhere
He made the rest of our team look like reserve grade benches.Grant is an A1 footballer, even when he was with us you could see it.
Maybe we just keep our money in the bank and the coaching team work on extracting the best from Brooks/ Wakeham and we take it from there. No too many other options.Elsewhere where? We’ve approached 2 of the top 4 halves in the comp?

Let us not pretend that Moses isn't still amongst the best halves in the game, despite not stepping up when a game was there to be won. He did have a go, just failed to ice it.
Still whilst such is in our thoughts, let us also remember the first two games of last season that WT had an opportunity to seal a win in the dying moments, against Moses' Parramatta and Souths I think.
The forum's most maligned player stood up to be easily the most instrumental in winning both of them.
I realise I’ll get bashed for saying this, but I really believe that if Brooks is working behind a strong pack and given license to fail he is in the top 4 halves.Let us not pretend that Moses isn't still amongst the best halves in the game, despite not stepping up when a game was there to be won.
