So…where to from here? 🤔

They trained really well - just ask them.

Every year the same old BS gets trumpeted. This year was a little different. We were going to attack and come up with 200 passes per player per day or some other nonsense. We needed less wrestling and more skill based training.

It's working great so far.

Brooks did step up when the game was on the line. Sadly. Maybe AD should of.

I assume you're talking about the last second field goal attempt?
It was so frantic it didnt need to be time had elapsed it was the wrong side of the field for a left foot attempt plus AD has a bigger boot. Why not after the penalty roost the ball as far down field as possible set up for AD to take the shot. It didnt have to be done at a million miles an hour, but it was and its another example of poor in game management. It was a hail Mary at best but like everything could have been done so much better had someone had an actual footy brain out there.

1) Laurie is not an NRL standard fullback...he shows no aggression bringing the ball back, his bomb takes are always heart in mouth, he doesn't chime in when he should.....you get the picture...we should not extend him, if any other team wants him, release him now. Give Stains the fullback role and see how he goes after 12 rounds.

2) AD clearly doesn't have much belief in Brooks, he tries to "do it all" and that is stifling our attack. Is he an organizer or a runner?. I think his best position is center, but he reckons 5/8..probably 'cause he knows as a 5/8 he can command the bigger contracts.

3) Stefano has been bog average the first 2 games, where is the beast from 2021?

4) Our new buys have been bog average too, but am prepared to give them time.

5) I can sense the club will implode from Lee down if by the mid point mark we are running bottom 3....You can feel the tension already....if that happens we need a new CEO, and a clean slate on all decisions going forward, a CEO who puts the coaches on notice about the 5 year plan they conjured up last year.

As a long time follower and 12 year member of the Tigers, I'm glad I paused my membership in 2023, until the club can prove its worthy of my hard earned money again. I hope that's next year, but am not holding my breathe based on 2 rounds so far...

Wishful thinking, and will never happen.

Lee, Pascoe et al will still be there in 2030. Along with Brooks.

Well in Apis podcast video he said training wraps up at 2/3 which is nice for Seeing His family....thought that was a bit odd. I guess sheens maybe has a nap in the arvo.

Many people his age do have a nanna nap in the afternoon,i know that i do.(i am 70 and not joking)

I would love to see the players reaction if there would be a chance we get relegated, (probably will never happen)bet they’d pull their fingers out when they realise that they’re going to lose their jobs. They all need a reality check!!!!!

As crazy as it sounds I don't think it is all doom and gloom yet. Our attack will gel, it is only round two, Api will need time. I thought Brooks showed some promise yesterday, 40/20 ran the ball a lot more and looked sharp. We need Staines at fullback though as Laurie is a midget and offers nothing. Our pack is developing and come midseason the attack will gel and the wins will come, we will not make the eight this year but will improve.
Mate the problem is we've just faced two sides who if we were to be any chance of making the 8 we should've beaten. Both of those games were home games & that's 2/3 games at Leichhardt already played. Our next 4 games are Bulldogs, Melbourne Brisbane & Parramatta all sides who are much stronger than us bar maybe the Bulldogs, we were promised so much in the offseason & I honestly think we look worse than last year albeit a much stronger side.

Where to from here
1. Don't Panic as much
2. Don't overreact
3. The problems in eek 1 and 2 are actually very different to last year as is the style of play
4. Complete more sets and make less errors - this has been the major issue
5. Remember the positives - Leading the comp in Penalties Conceded, Offloads, Decoys, Line Engagements. Top 3 in the comp for Tackle breaks, run meters, dummy half runs, 4th for possession and 5th for line breaks.
