What good does it do for us to make the Sharks pay more? The rationale is hard to understand? No players of his calibre will come to us - it's just not going to happen for light years.
 
Jack Wighton & George Williams

We should go hard for these 2 & rekindle their relationship from the Raiders (with Bateman as well).

We probably have the largest salary cap room (from next season) & possibly more room if we do not re-sign Brooks & Laurie and release Nofa.

Wighton is 30 and will be seeking his final contract and I would assume we could blow the Raiders out of the water with an offer. His Player Option for next season is a reportedly $900k.

Getting him and having Bateman could also prove a lure for Williams.

Having these 2 and Api in our spine and a lower budget x-factor fullback like a Connor Tracey would be amazing.

They would all provide experience, leadership & mongrel and immediately changes us.

Moses did and it was less than we offered so the lure of a premiership will keep him at the Sharks more so than the dollars we offer. It's not everything to some people.

It's the way we are 0-4. We have played 4 rubbish teams (yes Storm have about 6 out and are playing rubbish). And havnt looked like winning. Attack is boring and predictable and our edge defence is soft as butter as usual.

We were never going to make the finals but everyone wanted improvement. Can see us 0-8 for sure.

when it ones to salaries agree reporters don't really know Brooks is case in point anywhere from 900k to 1.3 million was mentioned...
I don't begrudge any player getting paid whatever they can career's can be short

Api will see out his contract imo he only ever saw the tigers as a holiday destination & and knew the shit show he was getting into
