Would rather get the spoon again this year and get a long term no7 for next year than go down the Mitchell Pearce road. Obviously we have been knocked back by any potential 7 running around and are now playing the last card in the pack

You know whats funny??the desperation that this rumour is reeking of is another Ballin,Matalino pension fund that of course Pearce would jump at...why the hell does the club always keep living on PAST players and performances,if nobody can realise that we need a young guy to develop and make use of for the next 6/8 years that is devoted WITH brains for the job then you are all living in the clubs dopey head space...give wakeham the chance to produce,God help us we have given Brooks many,many years and look where we are today...Now we employ the old boys club that had success 18 years ago and Benji and Farah WERE GOOD PLAYERS but have absolutely NO COACHING EXPERIENCE except learning from an old coach who had them win a premiership 18 YEARS AGO and has done bugger all in the last 10 years at NRL level..
Im sick to death of the Brooks,Sheens,Farah Benji groupies who cant understand that at this level it takes PROFESSIONAL people in all aspects of the Business,Football dept,recruiting and players...
I can understand the dislike for golden haired Luke,but by God it will finally come to a head if we end up with another spoon...this club is an amalgamation of 2 very proud hard working traditional rugby league clubs that had fallen on hard times,the opportunities that it has had since inception and been SQUANDERED by people who have no idea what it takes is absolutely astounding...I hope it ends well at seasons end,but at the moment it looks bleak....cheers...

No, they are great. Either of them coming to wests would be fantastic.

To use their age as a comparison to the pearce situation is specious reasoning.
 
34 yr old Pearce ? Is he still NRL level of fitness ?
We seem to go Plan A to Plan B to Plan C every week a new idea
Don't know if good or bad but we sound like we are desperate and perhaps we should be
 
I say do a swap with SL,we get someone we desperately need, in turn we get rid of someone we desperately don't want. Win Win, crack open the champagne bottle 🍾

Maybe we just don’t understand how a forensic and strategic recruiting master plan works?
It appears to have moved from a focus on 15 year olds to 34 year olds very quickly?

We’re going to land Mitchell Pearce - pay him big bucks for two years - and he’ll get injured in the first game doing his ACL

Ice will ask to leave

Api will go off the rails

Luke brooks will be extended

Bateman will have surgery on his shoulder that was injured before we signed him for 4 years

chris Lawrence will be brought in as benjis mental health coach

AD will go back to 5/8th

We won’t win a game till round 10 … and in the presser Sheens will say “200 passes is starting to gel”

The round 10 game worries me?
Dragons were undermining their coach last year and beat us twice.

Just when we think this joint couldn't sink any further into the mire, the club that Just keeps giving, for God sake management do something right for once, throw that money at Lewis Dodd
 
If Mitch signs which is highly likely he will most likely play 6 alongside brooks at 7 he has been playing as a 6 in ESL and has been playing well. Only one game this year played so far with
24 tackles
2 missed
1 try
7 attacking kicks
2 tackle busts in 2022 he had the most tries in the comp at 22 he is an attacking threat who proves leadership and steadys the ship when things get hectic but it is no doubt in my mind the red button situation Warrington are no longer communicating with us on George Williams and will not let him go, halfback market in the nrl is rough and we cannot land the big fish that is available here
