Trindall is worth 750 to us. He can't say no to that and the sharks will surely not stand in his way. I'd give them Nofo and pay part of his salary too. 500 for pezet. 300 and the opportunity to start at 7 next game for a Volkmann, Hawkins or Sexton.

I think I’d offer more or same as Trindall for Pezet. And if we’re gunna pay over you do it for a good half.

Pezet won’t be leaving the Storm. He is viewed long term at the club and knows it. Storm won’t release him this year either heading into SOO period.

Watching the KOE cup game, young Mansfield is prospect, young Jordan Hill has speed to burn, pity about his ACL injury. The young winger Ogden also had a good game.

Iv been hyper critical of him this year, I never want to see any of the guys get injured though, it would be a crappy way for his career to end, I hope for his sake it's only a minor tear. It's no way for a players career to end. Reminds me of Fulton, that guy never got the retirement he deserved.

Damn so it's no difference if its a complete rupture or a minor tear, that sucks for the poor guy. Hoping a minor tear just required a clean up and stitch or something and maybe a few months on the sidelines. Another reco really puts his career in jeopardy. Been really critical of his performances recently esp when he was at fullback, but didn't want to see this happen to the poor guy. From what everyone was saying he seemed to start hitting his straps in the second half as well. This sucks.

Can't believe that guy is only on 450k. He is in the top 5 fullbacks easily if not top 3 in the comp. He should be on well north of a million a year

And a wonderful young fella as well. Doubt he'd ever leave the foot of the mountains but if he ever did, he'd be an absolute winner for us or anyone else.

Whilst an upgrade at fullback would be nice, I think Staines can do a job. We need to upgrade at halfback, first and highest priority. After that's done, see how much we have left to upgrade other positions.

Staines mightn't make it but I agree from a cap management point of view we should be targeting halves with good kicking games.

Api, Staines and Brooks in the spine are definitely worth a shot for a longer period but we need another quality player in that mix. They give us speed and creativity along with good pretty good defense.

We also need another outside back.

We are getting there though. It's not all doom and gloom.

Not all doom & gloom. Great article here that provides stats which show that all is not bad with our performances, only luck & finishing!

I agree too that our #1 & #2 priorities must be a controlling halfback with good kicking game & a good ball-playing / running five-eighth. One of these ideally is a dominant goalkicker.

I don't think it necessary is. I had a partial tear and didn't need a reconstruction. I chose to have it done because I knew my confidence would be shot knowing I had already torn half the graft (ACL), but the doctor said with the right strengthening work, half will be ok.
