This is the part I am strongly against.No point in crying over spilled milk. Any player is an improvement on Brooks because it's not Brooks! No, seriously, there must be someone we can sign who is, at least, serviceable and not an absolute liability like Brooks.
We can't go into the market thinking like that, because we'll end up back in the market after failing with whoever we take a gamble on - JUST because it's not Brooks.
'Meh, whatever, as long as it's not Brooks' is not a recruitment decision.
